Aero Garden —

Dearly love the garden on the table, my Aerogarden named BoBo.  We were looking for something to keep the basil plants alive longer than 3 days.  I got so sick of paying $4 for a basil plant that would not live beyond a few hours.  The first harvest  I got way more basil than humanly possible.  But the other herbs were great too-mint, and chives, and fresh rosemary-it was so nice not having to worry about everything dying in the FL sun, or being covered in bugs.

Follow all directions carefully on the unit.  If you raise up the lights too fast to accommodate the basil, then basil will be all you get.  The other herbs all died rapidly, and we called customer service to try and figure out the issue.  They were fantastic, tirelessly gave us tips to zero in that it was a new pump float we needed.  They sent one out the next day, gratis.

This will be our 3rd harvest, and I'm excited to attempt peppers next.  Keep in mind that the thing needs the lights on and water to grow.  We moved Bobo to his own room so the semi-constant alien glow would not keep us awake at night.

Hello Stuffyface!
After reading your review about the problem of your basil withering away, I had the same problem. The way I fixed it was I placed more top soil and a product named "Black Cow" soil in in my planter and used less potting soil. What a difference that made! I had sweet basil standing at 3 to 4 feet tall and the taste was great! I plan on transplanting my basil from the Aero Garden into planters to make room for other plants. Hope this helps!
