I never could quite understand why some people insist on purchasing name-brand products when the formulas are identical. ibuprofin is an over the counter or OTC pain relieving product. It can be used for just about nay pain one could think of. I am married with 5 boys ages 6-14. I trust it over any other medications when it comes to treating my children. I have used it for over 25 years and have never had a problem with it.

Advil has been around awhile now and even my dr. recommend it BEFORE I start out a day where I know I will be gardening, lugging heavy things or pulling stuff. The tablet style rather than the caplet is much easier to swallow, has a slight sweet coating ( reminds me of the coating on a M+M ) and can slide down your throat with no to slight water. I got a bottle of caplets one time accidently and was surprised how hard they were to swallow. One side effect that I have noticed, for me at least, is when I take it, I need to use the restroom through the day, perhaps it tenderizes ones' kidney...

I use to always use Advil for pain of any type. Advil contributed to my having serious stomach ulcers and an intestinal obstruction. I had one physician tell me that one Advil was too much and that 7,000 people a year die from taking drugs in the Advil famly.

If you use Advil or any product in that family, please be extremely careful. I ended up having between 1/2 and 2/3 of my stomach removed because of ulcers. I will, also, be on Nexium for the rest of my life.

all in all i think avil shouldnt be use alot i think it is a pill to take only when needed. It does work at first but after my use of this prouduct in about 5 months it doesnt work for me any more. Younger children shouldnt use advil it is worst then you think. But it is a good pill to take if there is nothing else to use. the cost of advil is more then i thought it would be for a little bottle about ten dollars wow thats alot just to lose some of your pain.

Advil gets the job done

sure to have these around at all times, not a fan of taking medications, a frequent headache sufferer

Advil takes a well known and researched chemical compound and packages it as a safe and effective pain reliever and fever reducer. 200 - 400 mg is the standard dose and can be taken every 4 -6 hours. I like the 4 hour dosing schedule as most pain can be very persistent. I wouldn't want to be caught three hours into resurgent pain and having to to wait 9 hours to take another pain reliever. For not a lot of money, Advil certainly gets the job done.

i have used advil for many many years. i havechronic knee pain. this is the only pain medication i use. it not only relieves the pain it also brings the swelling in my knees down. i am on my feet all day at work, i climb into machinery and up and down stairs. if i forget to take it i can not do my job because of the pain. advil makes it possible for me to be more active.
