on the road again, NOT going to pay a lot for a rental car
People complain about Advantage Rent-A-Car, but I don't think they're as bad as some folks say. I've rented with them a few times, since they have quite a strong presence in South Texas, and the reason they got my business in the first place is because they are often very aggressive on pricing. — — I'm not made of money, so I always opt for the less expensive cars when I'm looking for a rental. — — What I've gotten from Advantage have been decent, late-model Chrysler cars. Some were not as new or as flashy as what I could have gotten elsewhere, but saving money is…

family traveler, Every day computer user, value conscious
I travel often to see my family across America, so I rent a car each trip. Recently I flew to Colorado Springs where I rented from Advantage. I called to rserve the car, explaining that I NEEDED a car that would get around in snow. I was told that the SUV's were not available, but that I would be given a Sebring or another similar car that will drive comfortably in snow. when we arrived, we were given a Hyundai, which I questioned. We rented a convertible through Advantage. While standing in line, the guy in back of me was on the phone telling someone he didn't get the car he rented, so I was not feeling comfortable already. Sure enough, they did not have a convertible for us. The agent said they had a car with a sun roof, and we could call the next day to see if they had a convertible returned. We would be miles from any Advantage car rental, so calling would be useless. We took the car he offered, but it was a Suzuki something, with NO sunroof. More of an SUV than a convertible, and…

They informed me that my personal car insurance (issued in another state) was not recognized in the state of Nevada and that I had to purchase their insurance. Which cost more than the rental of the car did!! I contacted the Insurance Commisioner for the state of Nevada and he said that is FALSE! I'm angry that they take advantage of weary travelers! Other than that issue the whole process went smoothly and we enjoyed the car. ANY future business with a car rental agency and I will be ready for battle if they ever tell me that again! So beware and tell…

willing to pay for quality
This rental car agency took their time getting us checked in on our last trip to Vegas. They just seemed to drag. Was the same way when we returned the car, they had no urgency whatsoever for people trying to get in the airport to make the security…
