I have been using photoshop professionally for more than 10 years. The technology has come a long way. Each version is more comprehensive, continuing to make this software an industry standard. I could not live without this program. Although, I always find it annoying that every things gets changed just a little bit every time the software is updated and I have to relearn a little bit. I guess it's worth it to have to latest functions to get jobs done easier and faster and better. It's also really nice to have a direct way to get my raw files from my camera. Before I upgraded my Adobe Photoshop it was a huge pain to get my raw files off of my camera. This software is expensive but it's worth every penny.

  Adobe Photoshop Cs4 For people who spend a lot of their time on the computer, especially those who like to manipulate images, design/create images, or anything that has to do with photo's, this is the program for them! You can practically do anything you want on Photoshop. From doing basic editing, to creating a whole image from scratch. I personally love this program and don't know what I would be doing right now without it. I constantly use it for many projects. Even when I am bored on the computer, I go to Photoshop and start creating anything I want. I love the way that you can create brushes, making it easier to make your own logo, and make paintings. . . Some people simply like to put a picture of them, and manipulate it. They wonder-Hmm, how would I look skinny? How would I look fat? How would I look with this eye color? Etc. And it is easy to learn! Some people may see it as a disadvantage to have to study Photoshop before they use it, but the best thing is you can study it anywhere! For example, there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing you how to do the things you would like to do. You can do anything on this program, and I recommend it to everyone.

I use the computer everyday, and I edit/create images on it every other day.  Adobe Photoshop (CS4 is the newest version out as of April 2009) is the only software anyone needs to create and edit images such as photos, computer graphics, etc. - even if you are a beginner to this kind of thing, Adobe is easy to use and your skills can only grow and grow because there is so much to learn.  So, I recommend Adobe Photoshop to novices and professionals alike, although the professionals, I'm sure, already know all about how great Photoshop is... Adobe Photoshop can do ANYTHING with an image.  Change its colors, resize it, get rid of red eye, add effects/text/layers/etc., and so much more.  I've used Photoshop for everything from creating logos, touching up photos to make them look professional, to creating and editing computer graphics that can be used on websites, flyers, everything. You will never regret learning how to effectively use Adobe Photoshop - it is probably the only image software that is worth putting time and money into getting and learning.

Definitely try to get this software on sale. There are few programs out there that have such a hefty price tag as Adobe Photoshop. Actually most of Adobe's software programs are actually quite good but they are also on the high spectrum as far as pricing goes. It is a shame however that it cost so much because a lot of people are deterred and prevented from using such a great program. I am currently using Adobe Photoshop CS4 for creating advertisements for my mom's store. She wants to advertise since business is a little slow and I am using photoshop to make a flyer design. I've done this in the past was pretty decent success. It believes that Photoshop should come with better tutorials and instructions as it seems way over my head at times. I purchased books to learn this program but it is still difficult. But as for program itself there is no denying that it is good.

I'm honestly not sure where to beign reviewing this amazing product, so I'll just dive in. Photoshop CS4 has many new features that are worth upgrading to if you're using a previous version. It now packs features such as video editing (so to speak), better 3D Model design capabilities (this is NOT 3D rendering software though!), and the same tools you know and love. Photoshop CS4, the actual program runs adequately on my Intel Pentium Dual core with 2GB's of ram and a super-low end NVIDIA graphics card. If you're editing super-resolution images of around 4000+ px in size you may run into some freezing issues but on a machine like mine, generally it runs smooth. The only feature I would have liked to see as an option to enable is project cacheing. Meaning, that if Photoshop crashed on you during your masterpiece in progress you would be able to recover your file upon a restarting of the application (similar to MS Word) I'm trying to keep it short and sweet. Case in point, if you're using Photoshop CS2 or later this is worth upgrading to, if you're using CS3 and are a heavy-end user this is still worth upgrading to. If you're a light user of CS3 you should probably save your money for the next release.

Photoshop CS4 is one of the best ways to create or edit an image that I know of. If there is something that you want to do to an image, there is a way to do it. I have used photoshop for everything- from making serious corrections to pictures to doing silly things just to see what will happen. My only compaint is that there is such a steep learning curve. Photoshop is not something that you will pick and master in a day. There are so many options and things to do that it will take a long time to get good at. It also slows down the computer because it is such a large program. The best thing I ever used it for was to edit some underwear out of the corner of a picture of my nephews. It was the only picture I had of them all together and looking at the camera, so I had to edit the underwear out- and now you can't tell that it was ever there to begin with! Photoshop is the handiest and best tool I have ever on my computer!

If you are in the business of designing, painting, photo retouching, drawing, websites, graphics, etc basically anything that matches the words "computer" and "art" then you NEED this program. Photoshop cs4 is the great photoshop we've all known to grow up with and love throughout the years... however this new updated version, known as Creative Suite 4 adds more filters, shortcuts, effects, and simplicity than the previous versions. There is no painting program that comes close to Photoshop and everyone that uses this will ONLY use this from now on, no matter what new gimmicky software comes around. My hats off to you, adobe! The only thing I have as a con would be "the steep learning curve". It does take a lot of time to learn all the tools and filters...but the best way in my opinion was to just do trial and error! Plus, there are tons of amazing tutorials all over the internet to help you with this amazing program.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 is probably the best photo editing software out there. There are a ton, yes, and some of them are even free and several are substantially cheaper than Photoshop CS4, but in the end, Photoshop CS4 probably stands out as the best editing software we have on tap. There are so many features that one simply cannot grasp it all in a month or a year. Veterans are constantly learning, developing new tricks and new methods for doing the same line of work in a different way. One thing that I recommend is to not get overwhelmed and get intimidated by the vast complexity of Photoshop CS4 (it can be confusing). Simply go online and read some guides to get an idea for the features available to you. Over time, with practice and understanding, you will find your way around this big program. I have been able to make a lot of custom prints and digital images using this program and the experience has been nothing but great. The downfall of this program is that it costs a fortune to buy!

Just when I thought Adobe Photoshop couldn't get any better, out comes CS4.  I was a Photoshop user back when version 3 was out, and have seen the improvements (and mistakes) over the years.  This is the most comprehensive version to date.  I love how easy it is to find each function, I particularly enjoy the new layout.  The help function is great.  It links to the adobe website and has so far helped me to do everything I want to do.  This has really helped me in learning the new functions and in figuring out where everything is.  I can now eliminate that red eye, use filters to change a color picture to black and white, even create realistic digital collages using elements from various pictures making a brand new masterpiece that looks very real.  CS5 is now out, and I am in no rush to upgrade.  CS4 has everything I need and I'm still learning!!  I don't even need to pay for training, books, or tutorials, all I need is time and before you know it, I'll be a pro!

I first hated photoshop, but i had to learn it for one my class that as turned into my new love of my life. photoshop can be hard to learn at first but if learn it right you can do a number kind of things. Photoshop is great to edit photos or fix things you don't want showed. You fix old picture that have a lot damages or make new thing i have made a lot different things. The price may be a lot but it is worth buying all adobe products have a great software. i want to buy everything they have but the price is like wow i can't afraid that. My school as our whole lab with the software so if they brought it was worth their money. to make thing easier  photoshop a graphic pen works wonders you can get close to details and not mess up what your walking one. the layers help organizing things to keep in order. If you want to be field of art this one of the many ways they are going so buy these software it is worth the money.
