“ Met my weight loss goal and feel great! ”
After researching many options, my doctor and I decided that I would try Adipex. While I already go to the gym religiously and avoid fast foods, I was hungry ALL THE TIME! It doesn't matter if you are eating healthy foods if you are eating tons of it! As I couldn't even go throughout the night without waking up and eating a bowl of cereal.
When I started Adipex, I was worried that I would be nervous or jittery. During the first few days, I did feel that I had an almost nervous energy. My mind often was racing and it was hard at times for me to slow down enough to effectively communicate what I was trying to say. After the first week, this side effect was gone and I was left feeling surprisingly energized, well rested and in fact, even more focused mentally. I was told it could make it difficult for me to sleep, but I took the pill early in the morning and since I was up early and worked hard during the day, not to mention going to the gym, I was tired at bedtime! No trouble sleeping here. I did however, discover that I would wake up at around 8 am regardless of when I went to sleep. My house was never so clean, I had time to tidy up before I left for work! I was never hungry and had to remind myself to eat regularly. The nice thing about this medication was that since I was not hungry (read starving!) I was able to make very smart choices about what I wanted to eat. I no longer craved any sweets, but I did often crave protein. My mouth was very dry due to the medication and therefore I drank at least 3 liters of water a day. This helped with the weight loss, too.
The only side effects I encountered were a headache (on day 2 and 3) and the nervous energy I described above during the first week. The tablets I took did taste bad, but I washed them down quickly with lots of water.
I lost a total of 35 pounds in 4 months, the first 8 pounds were in the first week and a half. This was probably due to the fact that I had no desire for soda or sweets at all and increased my water consumption.
