“ You will loose weight quick ”
Brand Name: Adipex or Fastin also known as generic name Phentermine
I don't believe in fast miracles, but in 2003 I was 25, weighed 254 pounds and at that point I was sure ready for some type of intervention whether it be miracle or otherwise. I was tired, sick, WAY over weight, and in pain all of the time from lugging enough weight to be an extra person around on me. My back hurt, my knees were giving out, my blood pressure was sky high, and I had been informed that I was borderline diabetic. All this and believe it or not I hardly ate, in fact I pretty much avoided my #1 enemy at the time which happened to be food. So I decide to sit down with my doctor and have a serious talk about my next move on the weight problem and my options. At this point I was thinking surgery . You know Gastric Bypass or what ever it was called. But he wanted to start with medication first to see if maybe I could get some weight off, plus some more lab work to test for thyroid problems. I left the office that day , unhappy and still depressed about my situation. But I filled the prescription anyway thinking the worst thing that could happen is I wouldn't loose any weight at all. I started taking it and in my first month I lost 15 pounds I couldn't believe it. My clothes were already so loose I had to wear a belt. Boy was it a confidence booster! My next visit to my Doctor was a happy occasion for me and him. Not only was he happy the medication was working, but he had some answers to some of my weight problems. I had Hypo-thyroid-ism. So he added Levothyroxin to my routine and by the next month I had lost 14 more pounds. Adipex helped me to loose a total of 104 pounds! I think it is great medication if taken as directed by your Doctor, but please remember it is not a life long answer to you weight problems. You need to also push for testing for other health issues that could be causing your problems because until you get them under control you will just regain all your weight back once you stop taking the medication.

Some of the Con's:
You may feel a little jittery at first (I didn't but I have seen other's who have written that they had)
You will need to make yourself eat your three HEALTHY meals even if you don't feel hungry
You will have to pay for new clothes LOL
May get a little moody (hubby says I did around my time of the month. I didn't see a difference but of course I didn't have to put up with me LOL) It's still a very small price to pay to loose the weight
