In the past, I have struggled with my weight. I have been a little over-weight all my life. I gained twenty-six pounds during my first pregnancy. After delivery, I dropped several pounds, but ultimately, I had twenty pounds that stuck. I recently had my second child. During this second pregnancy, I gained yet another twenty-eight pounds. While I got some of this weight off, I was still stuck with most of it. I have tried everything in the book. I tried diet and exercise, diet pills that you get at Wal-Mart, alli, but it seems that I just didn't have the will-power. Almost three weeks ago, I went to see a doctor who specializes in weight-loss. His clinic's main program includes using Adipex. Adipex, as explained to me, is supposed to decrease your appetite while speeding your metabolism. Unlike most diet pills, I do not have the jitters or racing heart beat, although the only side effects that I have noticed is that I get dry mouth and my body heat is elevated. The diet limits your calorie intake to 1200 calories per day. While you can eat just about anything that you want, you have to watch your calories and aim for 50-70 grams of protein per day. Also you must exercise for 30 minutes, 3 times per week. Before this diet, I was drinking at least 9 cokes per day. Since starting this program, I have completely removed cokes from my diet and switched to water. I run/walk for at least and hour at least four times per week. I do pretty well with my diet and calorie intake thanks to the Adipex curbing my appetite. I have lost 10 pounds in 17 days. Although I was hoping to lose more weight than that in the beginning, I am very pleased because I know that I am also toning my body because of the walking and running.
