I have had major acne issues (big breakouts and resulting dark spots) since I was a teenager going through puberty and it has gotten worst as an adult. I have extremely combinations skin - really dry around nose and chin and really oily in other places. My skin has changed over the years because I used to have only really dry skin. I tried a lot of expensive brands like Murad, Physicians Formula. None worked and I was spending a lot of money, those systems run about $100. So one day I decided I wanted to try Proactiv (I got sucked in by the commerical, I will admit) but was discouraged because I could not just go to the store and buy the Proactive system. I had to go out of my way to some far away mall location or order it online. I wanted to go right over to Walgreens and start using it instantly that day. Well, in my search for Proavtiv I stumbled across AcneFree. It was only $20. Not really that less expensive that Proactiv but it was available right by my house, which is great because what if I'm traveling and forget my facewash or if I'm headed to the gym and forget my facewash, I could just pop into any drug store and buy a replacement. It's the convenience that got me at first. After a few months of using the products, people started asking me what was I using and that my face was really clearing up. I had not noticed. But what I had noticed was that my acne breakout were not as bad as before. I was still breaking out but they were not getting as big nor were they staying around for as long. Meaning I would have less dark spots, which is the lasting part of acne that sucks.. I've been using AcneFree for almost four years and I still love it. At first I was using the facewash, toner, and moisterizer. Now, I primarily just use the facewash and moisterizer. I guess over the years I have gotten lazy. The results are pretty much the same. Instead of buying the complete program - facewach, toner, and moisterizer - I just buy the facewash. The facewash is sold individually now which is great because I was always running out of the facewash first so I have a bunch of toners and moisterizers leftover. I buy the individuals from everywhere from Ulta to CVS to Jewel grocery store. It's also priced at a nice price of $6!!!!! You can not beat that.
On buying the product economically, it is sold at Sam's club, too. It is sold there in bigger sizes and basically for the same price as it sold a Walgreens.
