I've always had major problems with acne. No matter how much or how little I washed my face, they'd always pop up! It was very humilating and I had extremely low esteem because of it.
I tried a variety of face products, but nothing really worked - Nutragena, Clean & Clear, Biore, even Proactiv! I was ready to give up when I found Acne Free while shopping around at Wal-mart. It labeled itself as "dermatologist" approved and that it was "significantly BETTER than PROACTIV." The starter kit the comes with a Purifying Cleanser, Renewing Toner, and Repair Lotion was roughly $17-19, so I decided to give it a try.
Within the first week, I noticed the my skin was less red and most of my acne was clearing up. I continued to use the product until it ran out. By this time, my face was completely cleared up! I'm not sure if the repair lotion was suppose to help me with previous acne scars, because my acne scars didn't clear up. However, even with acne scars, I'm extremely happy that my acne had cleared up and that my face wasn't red anymore.
When I went out to buy replacements for the kit that ran out, I bought the full sized bottles instead of the trial/starter kit. My acne almost immediately came back. Not as much as it was before, but it was still enough to aggrevate me. I'm not sure if they used a new formula in the bigger bottles or if the bigger bottles have a completely different formula from the starter kits, but when I went back and bought the starter kit, my acne went away again.
I believe that the starter 3 pack kit is a different formula than the larger bottles, but I'm not 100% sure. I just know that I am much happier with the starter kit than I am with their larger bottles.
