I'm a computer technician and I help people with computers. I recently bought this for my sister and I also do use it sometimes. Although it is not my computer, I have used it quite long enough for me to be able to review this laptop.

It has a beautiful and bright 15.4" LCD monitor that makes viewing videos and pictures a pleasure. I bought this laptop off Tigerdirect for $299 + Shipping which was about five bucks. No taxes because I'm in California and Tiger is in Florida. Great deal to begin with.

Acer, Aspire 5515, is the best laptop so far that I've used in a long time. It loads fast when booting up. For Vista I wasn't sure right off if I'd like using it but I got used to it and now I have no problems at all. Each laptop is different and my main thing to do on mine is my writing. It comes with a great works program for all your writing and anything else you might want to do.

Downloading to it is fairly fast, It isn't really protected from viruses but there are plenty of programs you can find to protect it. The screan is big enough to see everything on it. Not crazy about small screans...

Hi, I bought a laptop acer aspire 5515 for 399.00 and it has only one outlet to put the computer plug in. I have to switch the plugs back and forth or change plugs to use certain things. Well, I am writing to tell you do not be cheap. I did not go over the whole idea of purchasing a computer and I hope that I live holy and be holy in conversation to not to hide counsel without knowledge. After my four year old computer started slowing down last year, I was faced with the dilema of buying a new one but we were broke. I purchased the Acer Aspire 5515 at a local big box retailer on sale for less than $350.  I needed a basic system to surf the web and check email on. Getting the system up and going out of the box was easy.  This system does have a lot of bloatware on it but this seems to be par for the course anymore.  Runs fast and with few problems.  Display is large enough to see easily. Some glare is present when in sunlit area.  Keyboard is comfortable and large enough to easily use.  I do have a key that began sticking shortly after purchase but did not feel it would be worth reconfiguring everything...

We bought the Acer from Best Buy and it came with a digital mouse and a computer bag.  We got it all for under $400.00.  It has a 3 GB memory and a built in Webcam.  The webcam has a very clear picture and comes in handy when we want to keep in touch with our relatives that live abroad.  It's not a heavy laptop and so far I've had good luck with it.  The battery only lasts for about two hours...that can be annoying at times but for the price it's duable.  You don't hear of people buying Acer's as much as the other brands such as Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba or Dell.  But for the price I believe...

For the price the acer, aspire 5515,  is well worth the money, light weight, battery power that last, ease of use, one of the most simple to use right out of the box, all i had to do  was open box and follow a few simple instructions, i was on line in no time,, storage is easy to use i have had no problen finding any of my files, you dont have the freeze ups of others i have used, and the wireless internet if fast to set up and easy to use, the range of the computer is good and you dont have to have a strong signal to be able to surf the internet,, you can easley download any of your games,,...

I am very pleased with my new Acer Aspire 5515 Laptop. It came with all of the necessary amenities that I need. It has a built-in webcam, internal wireless connection, Pentium installed and many other items. When I purchased my computer, it came with a free wireless mouse and a free Swiss laptop carry case.

The Acer Aspire 5515 is a great working laptop for high school or beginning college students. Some of the simpler features include: Windows vista operating system,media player,photo album, and plenty more. It is very light weight and comfortable to lag around for travel and other on the go places. The mouse pad is very easy to use if you are technically challenged. I bought this laptop for many reasons. I do have a regular computer but I needed something to take along with me for my college work. Now I can sit in the same room as my kids and do my work on the laptop. The Acer aspire 5515 was fairly cheap compared to the other laptops that I had looked at.
