Acer aspire 5515 Review

The Acer Aspire 5515 is a simple machine for a great price.  It's black cover is sturdily built and the keyboard is comfortable.  At around $350 it is one of the most inexpensive laptops I have seen. In fact, I can't seem to find any other laptop in that price range. I purchased it at Walmart after Christmas and was impressed that the machine came with 3 gbs of RAM that in itself was amazing for the price.  Add a 15.4 widescreen and wi-fi and it is the perfoect basic laptop.  It doesn't have any bells and whistles.  It has a dvd/cd burner but no webcam or card reader.  The keypad seems to be a bit touchy. If you are looking to hook this to an svga monitor or tv forget it, it doesn't have the advanced plugs that higher end laptops have.  The clarity of the screen is very comparable to other laptops that run around $800.  I have watched movies on it and have been happy with the picture.  Super deal for a beginner or someone who doesn't need the bells and whistles.
