Another great monitor from a great company. Acer excels at creating a great monitor at a decent price. Quality is not sacrificed. Right away you notice that out of the box the build quality is sturdy, albeit the stand is a bit weak and feels like it could be the only downfall of this product. But stand aside the performance of the screen is perfect. With 1680x1050 resolution, images, games and videos alike come to life before you. I purchased my Acer X223WBD 22 inch LCD Monitor recently and have used it vigorously since then and have been nothing but satisfied. I have two of them mounted on the wall above my desktop computer and they provide and amazing viewing experience. The picture is sharp and crisp. The contrast ratio is very apparent when viewing dark images with several shades of black or white. Overall I would reccommend this product to anyone seeking a great monitor with great performance at a reasonable price. Acer pulls through yet again!

This monitor is awesome! It supports a high contrast ratio. It also has both VGA and DVI, but no HDMI. I was alright without the HDMI since I did not own a blueray player when I purchased it. I had to purchase a seperate DVI to HDMI adaptor when I decided to get a blueray player. The colors on this monitor are fantastic. I get no glare whatsoever and my eyes do not strain. This monitor has lasted me a long time, which shows the quality of Acer products. I use it every single day for mutiple hours and its still running strong. This monitor makes it easy to switch around different settings for different uses. It has a text mode when reading, and graphics mode when playing around in photoshop or editing digital pictures. It also includes a movie mode for watching movies. I have nothing but good things to say about Acer or this monitor. I have had 0 dead pixels since day one and I am sure it will continue to remain solid for years to come.

Great Monitor.  I use a double screen setup and use my desktop every day.  I have used this monitor for a few years now and has never let me down.  Great resolution, watching movies on it is amazing.  I have used it in various locations like mounted on the wall behind my desk or just on a stand on my desk.  Being able to use VGA as well as DVI is a big plus as well.  I bought this monitor before i had a DVI cable and was able to use it for the time being instead of having to immediately go out and buy a cable.  The widescreen capabilities really help when watching movies instead of have unused black space on both the bottom and the top of the screen.  In keeping with times however, the screen not having an HDMI input can be a bit of a deterrent, however, it was to be expected since I bought the monitor a few years ago which was before HDMI became popular. Even with me buying this monitor years ago I still use it and love everything about it.

The Acer X223W monitor is my entry into wide screen monitors and I have been delighted with it's quality and value. A lot of monitor for a low price. Mine was quick and easy to set up straight out of the box. I had it plugged in and in use with in about 15 minutes. No bad pixels and this monitor is very sharp and clear for the price and the large buttons on the right bottom of the screen are easy to access and easy to adjust. I set mine when I first got my monitor set up a year ago and haven't had to touch them since except for turning the monitor on and off. Having built in speakers would have been a nice feature, but plenty of value and quality here for the low price. I would recommend this monitor to family and friends. My Acer x223w has been trouble free for over a year. This was a very nice upgrade from my old boxy monitor. I don't play many games on it, but DVDs are very sharp and clear. Definitely thumbs up.

This monitor has a great picture, there was no dead pixels with the 2 I ordered. I used this monitor to watch blue ray movies off of my computer and in one word AMAZING! I would definatly recommend this monitor to family and friends. Acer really knows what they're doing when it comes to there monitors!

The good: It's cheap. When I wanted to get a triple-wide monitor setup, I went for the cheapest 22" panels I could find that were still made by a reputable maker. This monitor delivered--thrice! It's cheap, effective, and none of the panels came with dead pixels. 9 months later, none of them have developed any dead pixels. The bad: The colors are okay, but not great. I had a Dell ULTRASHARP 2407WFP next to it for several months and can tell you that the colors on TN panels can't compare to IPS panels. You lose contrast and accuracy. Not to mention that TN colors shift if you move up and down much (vertically). The color shift is less prominent side to side, so you can show movies on the monitor and your friend next to you will see what you see. So take their viewing angle claims with a grain of salt. Doesn't have a DisplayPort input, so I had to get a DisplayPort->VGA adapter to enable my triple-wide Eyefinity setup. It is advertised at 5ms GTG but don't be misled, it's good for games but not the fastest LCD panel out there.

I have been very pleased with my purchase of the Acer X223W LCD Monitor. The biggest selling point to me was it's value for money. Despite its low price, the monitor is comparable to more expensive models offered by Sony and HP. The screen size is a generous 22 inches - a great size for suring the net and watching movies. The monitor offers great color richness and the text is crystal clear. I was really impressed with the high quality. Setup was a breeze. Simply plug in the monitor and follow a few onscreen prompts and the monitor is ready to use. You can adjust the monitor up and down using the tilt adjuster. However, the base is somewhat flimsy. This appears to be something of a trait with Acer monitors as I have encountered the same design on previous models. I would definitely recommend this monitor to those that are in the market for a budget monitor to be used for online browsing, word processing or to watch movies.

I have owned this monitor running a dual monitor setup for more than a year. At that time, if you didn't have time to shop around, this monitor gives you the best bang for the buck. quality is awesome it the quality of the picture is as good as ones from Samsung, Sony, and Viewsonic which cost a lot more. Has the nice three preset options for viewing text, standard, images, and movies. Size is also perfect for my dual monitor setup, with great desktop space, but doesn't take up that much physical desk space.  I took this to my friend's lan party, and I get tons of ohhs and ahhs from them when they see the quality of the game play for my sub 200 cost. Also for a low cost monitor, the quality of the monitor is great as I think I only saw one dead pixel after a year+ of use. *knock on wood* I do have a couple gripes about the monitor though. One being the lack of hdmi connector, but for the cost (at that time) couldn't really complain. Second is the base can be little "unstable" as I have read from other's, but it has been find for me. One other thing I would like to see is vertical adjustments, but then again, I get what I pay for.

I have owned the Acer X223W monitor for about three years. I have few complaints really. I almost bought a Samsung monitor but quickly realized this one was much better and a lot cheaper.The width of the screen is ideal for those who have a hard time seeing or for those who like high quality viewing. I have an astigmatisim so I love the display settings that come with this monitor. You get the stock settings but there is a great little custom list as well. I use the custom list and I especially like the options, they won't overwhelm a new user and its enough to satisfy a techy like myself. The high resolution is great for gaming and movies as well. In all honesty I hate using any other monitor because I am so spoiled by this one! However, I do have one complaint. Although I do like the Acer monitor it does tend to run hot after extreme periods of usage. By accident I left my monitor on all night a few too many times and woke to a small corner of the frame being melted. It isn't a huge issue, my monitor works fine. Just take good care of your monitor and it won't do that.

The Acer monitor is quite a little surprise!!  My husband bought a computer and picked up the monitor at the same time.  We had a 19 inch monitor at the time and I thought it was fine, but after I saw the Acer monitor working I realized how nice it is, it is big...22 inches and big enough to watch movies or surf the web or whatever else you may want to do.  We subscribe to Netflix and stream netflix though the monitor, the picture looks nice and sharp, I dont see any bluriness with the picture.  The monitor was pretty inexpensive compaired to other monitors on the market, I could not believe what a good price it was!  If you are looking for a monitor which is inexpensive but has alot of functions, is clear and a decent size to look at then you should check out the Acer brand monitors, you will be happy you did!!  I would recommend this brand monitor to my friends and family, and anyone else looking for a quaility monitor at a great price!!
