About 2 years ago, I was in the need of a new monitor. I was given one for my birthday. Acer X193WB is the one I got. At 19", you don't have to squint to see the screen. Plug and play compatibility and the ease of use of set up software makes it a good choice. The one thing I don't like about the monitor is if you are looking down at the monitor from a standing position, the screen can be very difficult to read.

Acer X193WB is a widescreen 19' monitor. It has nice colors and is compact enough to fit a small space. The key features include a 1440 x 900 resolution, 0.284 mm pixel pitch, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The ultra-fast 5 ms response time eliminates ghosting. The picture on the Acer is soooo much sharper and the colors are beautiful. If you're looking for a new monitor this one has a sharp picture with clear easy to read print, beautiful colors and it has a space saving sleek design. I work in the IT field so monitors like this really help since most of my day goes sitting in front of the monitor screen. I really am happy with my purchase and recommend the unit to all.

My previous computer monitor - a giant, wedge-shaped behemoth- had been progressing through the five phases of death for some time. It switched off at inopportune moments and sometimes showed only a light green screen with a tiny, dying light in the center- maybe the electronic afterworld. It was time for a new monitor. My son, the family computer specialist, went with me to our local big box store, where I was enchanted by the possibilities but appalled by the prices. I stood there with that "senior citizen shopper in the fluourescent lights" look in my eyes as salespersons began to converge on me. My son intervened and steered me to the Acer monitors, which were reasonably priced, thin, and entirely unlike the dead monster. On his advice, I selected the 19-inch monitor. The monitor shows clear pictures in realistic colors and has improved my life in other ways as well. Because it produces such clear and colorful pictures, I have been able to cancel cable and switch to free online sources for home entertainment!

I bought this flat screen monitor to replace my old clunky, bulky monitor. I love the slim, light weight design and hidden adjustment button feature. I takes up little desk space and was so easy to install. We puchased this online and the quality is superb. For the money, you cannot go wrong. I'll certainly buy another.

I bought this Acer X193Wb 19 inch monitor about three years ago as a gift for my father. He had one of those large, old cluncky monitors and had a hard time reading on it because his eye sight isn't that great anymore. Needless to say, this new device instantly improved his ability to use the computer. He has never had any problems with this monitor and the image quality is just as good now as it was when we got it. He doesn't use it for much, mostly just reading blogs on the internet or typing on word or excel and occasionally watching video. At 19 inches it is one of the smaller screens that I have seen, and I was worried about it being too small when I bought it, but even at that size it is easy to use and see everything on the screen. My monitor is 22 inches (I think), and you can't really tell the difference in size when you use one or the other. I think that the next time I need a monitor I will buy which ever is cheaper and not worry about how big it is. But overall, this is a great monitor that will last!

My husband bought me my Acer X193WB monitor for Christmas and I think it is wonderful. I have always had those bulky monitors that are close to your face and take up the whole desk and leave no room for nothing else. This monitor is flat and I have a larger screen than my last monitor and the colour is fantastic. I have a DVD player in my tower so I am able to watch movies in my computer room away from everyone and I can watch the movies in High Def! This monitor sits far away from me which allows me to see everything perfectly and still get to work at my desk. The colour is bright and clear with only a few bottons at the bottom to adjust the screen if you have to. I was extreamly easy to install. Acer is extreamly affordible and I will be buying another Acer monitor when it comes time to replace this one later in the future. This monitor is wide screen so when I watch widescreen movies I see everything and in true colour.

I purchased this monitor from Acer over a year ago and am very pleased with it overall!  I use it regularly (daily) and can say that it has excellent picture color and clarity.  It was a great buy when I got it and I suspect still can be found online at a bargan price.  Given how little I payed for it I anticipated a lower quality product but was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived and I started using it.  It is a great size for school or the office and takes up very little space on a desk (i.e. it is very compact with only 2 wires one to the computer and another to the power source).  Honestly it sounds 'small' when you read online that is 19 inches and larger sizes are available but this is almost over-kill for a personal computer monitor.  After this purchase and the purchase of a netbook I am now solidly convienced that Acer is an under-appricated gem of a brand that not only puts out good quality products this one included but at a great price!

This was my first LCD flatscreen to replace an old CRT monitor. The improvement in realesate on your desk and the light weithness is a huge upgrade. If you are still using an old CRT monitor I highly suggest you look into geting a LCD and this one has been great for me. This one i bought from tigerdirect and i think they still offer it. However, There are some things that I wish this had that you c\should consider. It only has VGA input this was fine for me since i have never Used DVI. Now though many devices and even computers have HDMI outputs. If you wanted to say hook your roku box up to this monitor you couldn;t since there is only a vga input. Also there are no inbuilt speakers. That means while I saved deskspace because of size comapred to a CRT i have to have room for buly pc speakers it would be nice to have them integrated so keep that in mind when you decide to buy this I wish I would have. The monitor does like most now days it has the ability to sleep when there is no activity. There are buttons on the right side. the E button for empowering technologies lets you toggle bettwen modes Normal, user, movie graphics. To me the only thing it looks like is does is dimm or lighten the screen. I just use standard. There is also a menu to do the dimming and other position adjustments. I never needed to mess with those and i consider that a feature.   great monitor wish it had HDMI input and speakers.

I admit I'm mostly computer "illiterate" and I have no idea what brands are good, bad, or in between, so when I needed a new monitor I was kind of lost. I asked my dad and he happened to have a monitor he wasn't using, it was this brand new 19 inch Acer X193WB. He gave it to me and I love it! It takes up much less space on my desk but has a larger screen, which I just love, and the picture is soooo much sharper and the colors are beautiful. If you're looking for a new monitor this one has a sharp picture with clear easy to read print, beautiful colors and it has a space saving sleek design. You can't go wrong!
