The Acer Aspire 5739G is an amazing laptop. Featured on many online sellers, it is available from many different websites.    The first thing to notice, is that right out of the box, all drivers worked flawlessly. Updating them through the Acer Support site was easy as anything. Even better, it qualified for a free upgrade to Windows 7. The power of this laptop is nothing to overlook. While a casual user might not notice (someone who just uses this laptop to check their email or read the NY Times online), gamers and coders and photoshoppers alike will love how quick the laptop is. With a dedicated graphics cards similar in power to the ATI Radeon 4700, games will run beautifully.  Battery life is decent, but nothing to ohh and ahh at. You can expect about 4 to 4.5 hours of usage on the power saver setting, while turning it up to high performance will cut that in half. One thing that could be better is the quality of the screen. While everything is visible, and brightness isn't an issue, some reds seem washed out, as if the screen was very used before you even received the laptop. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a desktop replacement with a size requirement (actually got a couple of my college friends to buy the same laptop online, they're very happy with it as well).
