This 24' inch LCD monitor by acer was very easy to set up. I just plugged in the power cable right out of the box and then connect my computer to the monitor and it works right away. The monitor comes with 3 input signals: VGA for older computers and laptops, DVI digital input with audio input for desktops and laptops, and also an HDMI port for your blu-ray/DVD players, video game consoles. There is a button on the monitor that lets you switch between the 3 inputs easily and quickly. I did not see a lot of light leakage on the top and bottom of the monitor, which is good compared to the other low end big screen monitors that I have bought and used. There seems to be a buzzing sound coming from the monitor when the brightness was set below 95 out of a possible 100 setting. The touch buttons on the side of the monitor is rather hard to use, and I would prefer traditional press-in buttons instead of it. The power consumption of the monitor is at around 100 watts when on and about 2-3 watts when off. The speakers that came with the monitor is not very powerful, but usually enough for simple usage like television tuners and other uses. The monitor does support 1080 resolution, which is a plus when connecting video game consoles like the PS3, xbox or blu ray disk players to view high definition material.

I use this monitor to play games with on my PC. It is certainly useful in more than just reading Word Documents. Bright ? what do people mean when they say a TV monitor is not bright enough ? If it isn't turn up the brightness...LOL.. And it certainly isn't "Cheap" feeling. IT ISN'T a Widescreen...DUH, so don't complain about it not being one or compare it to a widescreen. The colors are really clear and vibrant. NO dead or stuck pixels at all. I really like the touch panel at the bottom of the monitor. If you're reading this. Buy this monitor! You won't regret it! Lots of adjustment options. Vivid, crisp colors. I hooked up my DVD player and enjoyed HD movies in vivid color and detail. For the money, you just can't go wrong with this monitor.

 I liked this monitor it had good resolution, good brightness , and did not break on the first day. On the second day when i turn on my monitor so i could play some videogames. So waiting, I thought "Why isn't this turning on?" So I look at the monitor but nothing was displaying. I check the cords to see if something was wrong with it but everything was pluged in currectly. I even disconected and repluged to see if there was an image or if the screen was on . The screen wasn't on. Knowing this i knew it couldn't have been my computer that was a problem but it was actually the screen. So knowing this i call up the company and tell them the problem. So they ask me if there was any scraches on the screen or any where. So i look and look and their was a tiny scrach. I tell them that it wasnt me it was already sent like that. Like jerks who dont want to pay any money they tell me that my warrenty was invalid. What a joke. After this i have not bought any acer products because i know that the 2 year warrenty is void if there is a scrach on it. Just avoid acer products. I mean its a good monitor and all but the service they provided me makes me say "Lets go dell"

The Acer H243H Monitor is a great monitor with great picture. It provides HD picture and excellent viewing. It is great for any personal computer. The picture is very bright or you can set it as needed, has more than one hook up, more than needed, so many options that come with this monitor. It is very easy to use, also has a great resolution. I would say that there are no negatives that come with this monitor. The price may be up there, meaning expensive, but the most important thing to know is, you are going to get your moneys worth. My Husband and I got tired of our laptops always breaking down and running slow, so we decided to get a desktop computer. The store we went to didn't have the monitor that went with the computer we bought so we went ahead and bought this monitor. It's really nice! It's big enough so you can see well, but it's not too big(kinda wide though) Also the colors are great and the picture is very clear. I love the slick design and over all appearance. We have only had this computer for a couple months, but so far we have had no problems with it and it has been a very reliable monitor. The only bad thing I can think of is like I said it is a bit wide. It doesn't show movies very well from it. Pictures don't always look right on it either, but I have no problems with my web pages and the the sizing and picture on that. It's a really really nice screen and I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

I have had my acer h243h monitor for about 1.5 years. It has worked great. it has 16:9 Aspect ratio and 1920 by 1080 resolution and the resulting hardware product is both good in quality and user-friendly.it turns on easily. the picture is great. the monitor has many adjustments so you can get the brightnsee, contrast, lines and so forth just how you want it.it is flt so it dont take up much room and its light weight. it can be move easily. I bought mine from  I receied it in 4 days after I order it. Itwas nicely packaged and it had easy to read and undersatnd instructions. It also has numerous hook up, so it can be used for the business man. so In conclusio, this is a great buy. It has a great picture, numeous hook ups, the product is both good in quality and user- friendly. it is light weigth  and you can adjust the brightness, contrast and the like. If you ae in themarket for a new monitor , this is the brand you want to get.

Brought this for, my dad he wanted to know if i could teach him how to use  a pc so i did now he's on a roll he really get's a kick out of it that's for sure. I spent a little more but that was ok it was worth it just to see him happy and smiling it was easy for him to use great value for the money. And it had several hook up's made easy what a nice product to have around. Dad is liking it more and more we are glad.

This monitor looks amazing. It is big and it just looks incrediable. This would get a 5/5 if it was just rating the way it works and the way it looks. The only reason I gave this a 4/5 is because of the price tag. This monitor can get a little pricey, but I think that it is well worth the price. The monitor is big. I believe this monitor is just then right size. If you have to big of a monitor it really get away from the main purpose of what your doing. You are looking at too much at once. If you have too small of a monitor than it feels crammed together. It also looks amazing. I just really like how it designed. It is straight forward and it doesn't feel out of place. It just feels right. I feel that Asus makes really great monitors and I believe that they probably make the best. I would recommend this monitor to anyone that is looking for a perfect size and amazing looking monitor. This is a Amazing product.

This monitor is a defiant buy. The clarity is pristine and the volume is amazing. I really like that it is a big screen in addition to my laptop monitor. I can watch movies on this with Netflix. I like to let my son watch movies on here and cartoons that he likes. It is enjoyable to the whole family. In addition to watching movies like it is a movie screen it has great volume. This monitor has volume control on it that is way louder than my laptop can emit. I am really surprised how much I love this monitor. I find myself trying to wait to get home and hook it up rather than watch a movie on the train like a normal do. It is not too expensive for some one who is willing to take the time and save a little money for it. That is if you're not into buying just to buy. The fluidity is equal to how much streaming power you have. If you have a fast net connection you will be pleased. A awesome feature I found on here is you can play a movie and also work on here at the same time.

I would definitely recommend this monitor. My husband and I normally stick to the most expensive brands because we always think that they are the best quality. Thats not always true. My dad has an Acer monitor that he bought and when he bought it,  I have to admit I was skeptical. I thought he had made a bad purchase. On the contrary, the thing has great color quality, the picture is clear and crisp, and he hasnt had any problems with it at all! It has great resolution also. My dad is constantly on the computer (he writes and debates alot) so he needed a big screen. He also doesnt have the best vision so he definitely wanted something clear and easy to see - with good color. This has been a good investment for him. He purchased it for a much better price than other expensive brands - but got just as good quality as if he would have paid double. Sometimes you just gotta know where the deals are - and this is definitely one of them. Highly recommended!
