Acer acer extensa 4420
I've had my Acer Extensa 4420 Laptop for about a year and a half now. I paid $400 at Best Buy and got an awesome deal. I kinda figured that since I didn't pay a lot for it, it probably wouldn't be the greatest, but I was wrong. I personally don't like to use the built in mouse, so I Purchased a Logitech Wireless Mouse. It works great! I have installed MS Office, and lots of games and such, and my laptop is NOT slow. I bought this laptop a few months ago, from Wal-Mart, in Bellingham, MA. It was orignally going to be a temporary computer because I did not want to pay full price for a brand new desktop. I went and bought the cheapest laptop by a brand I had never heard of (acer). It came pre-installed with Windows Vista x86. I was in the market for a no frills, basic needs/uses, laptop to supplement my desktop since that was always being used by other members of the household. Acer Aspire One
My desktop computer is downstairs. My wife uses a Macbook Pro but doesn't typically come down to the Man Cave. Realized after several months that having a laptop might help us spend more time together. This little Acer was the answer. Now I'll join her by the fireplace and we'll happily surf and chat.

I would recommend the Acer laptop computer, aspire 5517 to anyone who enjoys a good quality computer. It has windows 7 which more that outways the windows vista edition. The quality you get with Windows 7 is much more defined and easy to use. There hasn't been any complaints on the Acer laptop 5517 edition with the windows7. I am a owner of the acer laptop aspire 5515. It is nice to own seeing I bought at the price of only 390.00. I bought it at the walmart store and there was a 25.00 recycling fee just to own one. Well, it keeps breaking down or crashing down should I say. I have had it only for one year and the whole computer keeps acting up. I will not take regular things like antiviruses and the way things should be done of the computer is not listed in the book or manuel very clearly. This is a high quality laptop. It has a nice wide screen. Very simple and easy to use. A plus to this laptop is the numercial key pad. The only drawback to the numercial key pad is a person had to hit the num link to use hone, end, delete, page up or down. Also the letters on the keys is a sticker. I purchased the Acer 5515 Aspire laptop from Walmart almost a year ago, and 3 keys have fallen off it. Also Like a month ago my battery is giving me problems, or so I think it is the battery. I plugged it in to charge and the charger cord works, but yet no charge to my computer. If I unplug the charger I have no laptop. The only way it works is if it is plugged in. This little guy has very little memory which is ok if you just like being online all the time. But, if you want to download something or play a cd its just not for you. This has no cd drive at all which is ok seeing as you only paid a little money for it but if you don't have wifi or something to hook the internet into you just bought your self a very very expensive door stop.
