I spent only about $600 or so at Best Buy on sale about 9 months back, and I don't know what I'd do without it. All Acer computers come with "epower" technology which makes it very easy to organize and secure files, modify screen resolution and brightness to save on battery life, and an "enet manager" with speed boost to easily find network connections nearby. It also comes with 2 partitioned internal drives which makes it very easy to separate and organize media files from other programs.
However, there are a few problems with this model that I noticed. 1) the battery doesn't last very long (about 2 hours) on the energy saving setting none the less. I never even put it on balanced or Performance setting unless I have the labtop plugged in. 2) It has a pentium processor which runs harder than it needs to sometimes and will slow down the computer if it gets too hot. Of course, overheating isnt a problem if the computer is on a hard flat surface instead of a soft surface like a bed. This is true of practically any computer though. I think the battery would last a lot longer if it had an intel centrino processor instead of a pentium, but for the price, I can't complain. Overall, I would definately say its a great computer with a fairly descent graphics card, RAM space, and overall dependability. I'd say its definately worth the money with the features that come with the computer.
