WHAT'S THE 411 ON THIS PRODUCT?

I bought this computer to replace an aging Panasonic Toughbook laptop which is heavy and too much to carry on business trips. Also, it wouldn't accept most of today's accessories like the wireless card!

Even though the thing worked well, it was often too slow and the screen...

I've only had this computer one week so still learning the ins and outs. I love the fact that it has a 17" screen. Again, I bought a reconditioned machine. There have been so many times that I've purchased an electronic item right off the shelf only to have it not work or work a short time later something go haywire so I have decided to try some reconditioned products. I feel I got a lot of bang for my buck since I got it for around $550. Mine came with VISTA which I'm learning as I go along. I'm not certain if the volume is loud enough yet since I have not had it but about one week. The best... review »

The Acer Aspire is my first laptop.  I've had it for two months now with no technical problems.  The glare on the screen is really bad, however.  I can't use it in any well lighted place because I can only see my own reflection on the screen.  I don't know if this is a product flaw or if all laptops are like this. If so, is there any solution?  Also, the built in mouse is really, really touchy.  The cursor jumps all over the place. Overall, however, I'm satisfied with the purchase.

I love this computer.  I love being able to make my own dvds and record my daughter's voice.  It also loads our pictures well.  It's wireless so we love that we can have DSL and work from our computer anywhere in the house.  It also doubles very well as a second t.v and watch dvds on it.  The only things I don't like about it is windows vista...just not a big fan of vista.  But, the price was right when we purchased it and have not regretted making our purchase.

I was fortunate enough to be in a department store that was trying to get rid of some merchandise to make room for "updated items"  I got my Acer laptop for next to nothing.  Considering the warranty value is 115% higher than what I actually paid for it.  Sure it is not the for sure model that I really wanted but, saving several hundred dollars will do that for you.  I am sure that when I do decide to upgrade my laptop, I will continue to stick with the Acer brand.  I know the name is not as popular as some of the others, yet the features a strikingly similiar and the price as noticably lower...

My husband purchased two laptops last year when he got his SSD settlement. They were on sale at Wal-Mart for $499.95 each and came loaded with Windows Vista. The Acer Aspire laptop is a nice laptop for those technologically challenged, such as my husband. Once we both used Windows Vista for a few weeks, we both decided we did not like it and so had both laptops reformatted and Windows XP installed as the Operating System. The Acer laptop is not too heavy and is relatively easy to use. If there comes a time where I need a new laptop, I will most likely look at the newest Acer laptops and probably...

I purchased an Acer Aspire laptop for my family. We love it. It is a great little computer and it able to handle all the use it gets on a daily basis. I am going to purchase another one for my daughter for school. It is easy to use and comes with most of the software you will need already on it.

The speed of the processor is pretty good and it has quite a few USB ports so you can plug what ever you need into it. I would recommend Acer computers to anyone who wants a good computer at a good price.

I really like the Acer Aspire laptop!  I purchased one back in February, I think it was and they are great!  My two oldest children loved the games that came installed on it.  The speed was fast and it was easy to navigate!  Easy on the wallet!

The Acer Aspire#7730Z is a dream machine with a 17" screen and great performance and power. My first computer was a Dell Inspiron which everyone told me was the best. It was a great little laptop with silver keyboard which was very easy to see. I bought it in Dec.2008 and since then it has been in the shop three times, once because the hard drive was fried. I was shocked. I have spent more on repairs on that machine than I paid for it. But my beautiful Acer which I got in April has never let me down. I can keep it on all day and night without any problems. It will take all types of programs without...

I recently purchased the Acer Aspire laptop looking for something affordable but also of good quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the Acer laptop. Tons of storage space and super fast- 2GB Ram with 4GB hard drive which is partitioned. The screen is a nice widescreen, 17 inches,  with amazing picture quality. There is also built in Dolby Digital surrond sound...just like being in a movie theatre! Comes pre-loaded with some great software, but also with some useless software which is easy to remove. You will need to back everything up to disks, which are not included. Back...

My primary decision to buy my first Acer laptop was price.  Two years ago I dropped it from tabletop height it still worked fine, with the exception that the fall damaged the monitor frame and it can no longer close.  My son informed me that he had seen laptop computers destroyed by lesser falls, and was amazed that there was no damage to circuit boards or the drives.  This computer is still used daily by my daughter, and I bought myself a new Acer Aspire.

My new computer is an Aspire 4730Z has better speakers than my older one, but still somewhat lacking in sound quality, but that is the...

I was extrememly surprised by the Acer Aspire 3000 laptop I purchased.  Initially I was kinda let down however.  After purchasing at Circuit City for $700 with a $150 rebate, I had the first computer for a week before icons started disappearing and it wouldn't boot properly.  I tried to resolve this issue by running the restore disk. but it didn't want to accept it...so...after another week, I took the unit back to the store for a refund.  After telling them that I hadn't registered the unit yet, they decided to just replace it with a new one and told me that the motherboard was no good(this... review »

This computer is a great start for any college student. It is reasonably priced and has all the basic features for general computer use. It comes ready to go. The customer service from ACER is great. I had monitor issues with my computer when I originally bought it and they replaced it immediately. The customer service is friendly and efficient. The computer is the perfect size for a dorm room desk, and convenient to travel with. The USB ports are in great locations, and it comes with a built in CD drive and burner. The power cable is a great length, and the wireless reception is great. The computer...
