I originally bought the Aspire to just use when I was away from my desktop machine. After I got the little aspire I t has all but replaced the computer I used before. It is much faster than my old machine. I also comes with a lot of great features I didn't expect for the $288.00 price tag, I thought I would use this when I was away from my desk and just transfer my work. Now as of a month later it has turned around and the Acer Aspire is my top machine and the others are basically storage bins for its use. Knowing what I do now about these little "Net Books" we have purchased four more two have as of yet to even be opened, bought only for back up. I would recommend this little machine to anyone searching for an alternative to a larger desktop. If the Aspire has a drawback of any kind it would have to be the small screen size.I really don't have any complaints myself but some people might. I usually have it connected to an outside monitor, if I am using it at home or in my office. I have had people ask about the lack of a CD / DVD drive but for myself this has been no problem since it has built-in WiFI, I just share a CD / DVD reader burner from a different machine on my network. This is not a problem for me but I guess it could be for some. I use mostly Flash drives and Memory cards for cameras to hold information that I need to share.
