Acer Aspire One —

I Love this little thing. I'm becoming emotionally attached to it... I bring it everywhere with me because  it's much easier than bringing any 7lbs laptop. This little thing can putter along with the best (well Okay the 'alright') laptops of 1-2 years ago! The keyboard is very easy for me to use, I have hands that are very small though... I Love the FULL SIZE shift button on the right (it was one of the reasons I got it, this and the 2133 are the only ones to have that). This has plenty of power for 80% of the people that use a computer. It types with office 2007 just dandy and can go online and play music Lovely. Most of us who get it want it to do much more though... And for the most part it can. I also run Adobe Illustrator on it plenty fast. Build quality is awesome there is zero twist in it and it gets too much attention everybody has got to check it out!

"For the most part" I do not play games on this. I purchased it due to 5 brain surgeries and the ensueing two year paralysis recovery involved. Now having 5 kids ive heard the newest games she can play are from 2005. Excellant I say leaves me more time with it while they use the desktop that hurts me so bad right now! Explanation ... GMA 950 is as bad as only having an analog signal on your cell phone. Basically, the iTunes 8 vizualizer is out of it's range...  It's screen only supports 1024x600 though, tell you more in the next category.

It's battery is not the best, I was hoping to get 2.5 hours  but no way, with the brightness all the way down (which is still very bright) it tops out at 2).

I bought it for 599.00 from a rental store, because I wanted to try it out first and see if it would just hurt me like the good old desktop. Ouch! And here I am try it n buy it happy merrily working paying bills keeping up with news weather friends relatives. Did I say paying bills? oh yes exactly what I needed! It's still a better deal than any other netbook on the market. You can get 1.5 of these for the price of the bulkier S10... Get this thing if you can, I've done the reasearch and comparisons this one is the best unless you want to blow $1400 for the Sony TX! The HP is close, better feel but it's too slow with it's old VIA processor. This Atom is sorta meager, but it gets by. I do not like how EVERY netbook comes with the same N270 processor... the variety then is the price and look, no room for creativityNow onward we travel to the specs colors and inards of this little beauty. I am a tech geek too you know!                                                                     Acer Aspire One is a line of subcompact notebooks, or netbooks, released in July 2008 by Acer Inc. It is based on the Intel Atom platform, which is the Intel Atom N270 processor, Intel 945GSE Express chipset and Intel 82801GBM  I/O controller. The line is manufactured for Acer Inc. by Quanta Computer, and is available in several shell colors: seashell white, sapphire blue, golden brown, onyx black, and coral pink.
