Seriously, it has lasted for about 7 years and is still going strong! Everything functions just how it should, it's fast too. I'm a photographer and of course have thousands of pics on my laptop. I have an external hard drive that I dump the pictures onto every once in a while to free up memory. But still, this Acer computer handles everything I throw at it and it still works! It's going to be a sad day when this one goes.. hopefully won't be for a while still. Durability Only issue is that the touch pad is getting really worn with the color coming off. Can't complain for how old it it though

The Acer Apsire 6930 is a great laptop. I would recommend this one to anyone in need of a laptop for basic purposes. These are things that I really like about the laptop. The screen is the perfect size...not too big and not too small. I love the keyboard and the mouse touchpad. The sound quality is also nice. It has the extra number keypad which can be a nice feature but not necessary. I gave this laptop 4 stars for two reasons. I wish the battery life was a little bit longer. I get about two hours of battery life at this point. My other complaint is the laptop material shows fingerprints very easily. Obviously this does not affect the functioning of the computer, but just something that bothers me because I tend to be obsessive about those types of things. I basically use my laptop for normal everday functioning...email, internet searches, coupons, etc. For basic purposes this is a great laptop that will serve you well!

Acer is a good computer for what I use it for. It was a good price and I plan to work at home with it. I take it between IL andTX. And I am on it everyday. I would buy another one for my husband if the need arises.

I bought a Acer Aspire 6930 laptop. I was very unhappy with it. I got it to be able to take with me when I travel and also to help me at my business. After 4 days and lots of disappointment, I returned the laptop. It would froze up and go blank. I thought it was just the battery, of couse the battery was new so I charged it so it would last a little longer. I also tried to keep it plugged up while I was using it. That did not help at all. It froze up with us over and over. So we had to return it. I chose a different brand name. One that I trusted. We ask the sells person if anyone esle had returned the same item, Acer Aspire 6930 laptop. She said that there were a lot of them returned. I do not think she was surpose to tell me that but she did anyway. I would not buy an Acer Aspire 6930 again. I try to stay away from the Acer Brand. It was just not up to my standards. Did not like the keyboard or how the mouse worked. It was slower than I though it should be for a new labtop. Just did not like it at all. Overall I would give it a 3 out of 10 only because it did look nice.

This Acer laptop was a great choice from the many to chose from out there. I went looking for a good deal and found it with this laptop. For the money it has everything you need. It's easy to use and powerful enough to handle everyday use. It does everything I want it to do. The keyboard has good action to it and the touch pad is in the perfect spot for my small hands. I thought I would have to spend much more money than I did to get what I wanted in a laptop but I was pleasantly surprised with this Acer.  I had never even heard of the brand Acer but when the salesperson finally showed me this one after showing me probably ten other brands I was hooked. I liked the way the keyboard felt and the placement of the touch pad ,for me ,was in a good place. I have read other reviews where other people didn't like that the touch pad is a little to the left compared to in the middle on most laptops but obviously I disagree with that view.  To sum it up I like this computer and would recommend it to my friends and family. The Acer Aspire 6930 is a good computer for everyday use.  This computer is really good for gaming it doesn't freeze up while you are playing.  The speed of the computer is really fast and it comes with a lot of memory.  If you are thinking of buying a computer for everyday use this computer would be a good choice.  This computer would be really good for a student.

I purchased the Acer Aspire 6930 in April of 2009.  It has all the bell and whistles and has met and exceeded all of my expectations.  I haven't had one bit of trouble with it and it is now my main computer.  I can't say one bad thing about it.

I bought my Acer Aspire 6930 to use for business purposes because my home computer was getting too bogged down.  Little did I know that this machine would become my favorite machine.  I rarely use my home computer now. I've been able to transfer my work to my laptop AND continue to use it for personal use and it still isn't bogged down.  The picture is clear.  The computer loads so quickly.  If I need to pause for a minute, I can easily shut the cover on it and when I open it up, it doesn't shut itself down.  It has a Dolby Home Theater System in it and I am very fond of this phenomenal feature.  The sound is so clear and precise.  The overrall looks of the machine are great as well in all black.  The laptop is not at all bulky or heavy.  The keys are comfortable and the palm rest helps when I have to type for long periods of time.  I get regular updates from Aspire without having to search the internet for them.  It's very user friendly.  I have to get it  stars!  As with any laptop, it is a dust magnet!

The Acer Aspire 6930 is an excellent laptop i would recomened it to friends and family.  Their is very little this laptop lacks. its user friendly and i am able to logg on plug in right out of the box. its a great tool with adobe photoshop. the sharpness of the screen and clarity make this an excellent computer for portable movie player. the subwoofer and speakers have excellent clarity to them.

I've had the computer for about a year and a half, now. It works well for general purposes, but there are a few issues. Pros: large screen, complete keyboard, programmable media shortcuts, nice audio. Cons: short battery life, difficult touchpad, screen quality isn't all that high.   If you just need a computer for web surfing, you may want to invest in a smaller computer. If you are a graphics artist like I am, you may want to invest in a computer with a better quality screen. This computer works best for movie-watching.   Another thing to watch out for: If dead pixels show up, as it has on my screen, there's not much that can be done about them as Acer does not have a policy regarding dead pixels.
