i have only owned Dell laptops before and never tried any other laptops. my dell laptop's battery died and had several other issues since i have been using that laptop for almost 5 years. We were looking for an alternate laptop and started with Sony since im a big fan of sony products. Sony vaio laptops are very expensive, so it did not fit in my budget. so, i was looking other options where i wanted a very good processor for a very good price. i heard about the acer aspire laptops from one of my friend and decided to do some research about this laptop. all the reviews i read were kind of mixed reviews but there were lot of great reviews. i was looking for the latest i3,i5 or i7 processors and good memory and good hard drive space. researched in lot of websites and found this laptop for a great price during thanks giving. decided to go for it and im very happy with my laptop as of now. its very fast, not heavy and does a great job!!!

After purchasing an expensive laptop about 3 years ago for my college age daughter, it broke during her third year.   We had many problems with this "name brand" laptop.   We were forced to go out and purchase one quickly and didn't have a ton of money to spend on a new laptop.  We bought an Acer laptop at Best Buy.   I was a little nervous about buying a low cost laptop, but it has been wonderful.   It has been a great laptop and we didn't spend nearly what we did on the more expensive one we bought three years ago.  The memory is good, and it does exactly what the more expensive laptops do, but at a fraction of the price.  She has had the Acer notebook for approximately 2 years and so far it has not had to be repaired or anything.  It is still working smoothly.  It is easy to use and light enough to carry anywhere.  The screen is bright and large.  It is also very durable and fast (which is important when being online).  I would not think twice about buying another acer notebook and recommending it to friends who need a laptop.

My recent purchase of the Acer Laptop was a good one.It was truly a great find. I was looking for a laptop my my daughters, it is hard sharing a computer with teenager. So when I saw this one advertised at one of the local stores, I immoderately jumped on the opportunity to bring this home to the girls. I was think that with the price there would not be anymore but it was in stock. The space on the  harddrive  is about 320 gb and the memory is about 3 gb.Not bad at all.  The screen provides a great view of all the features of the Acer laptop. I am glad that I got this one for the girls. The girls are truly happy that we do not have to share anymore. No one has to wit to use the computer anymore.  Great Buy, for teenagers - Key board has 10 key feature - sticky note ( to jot down things that may come up while on are on the computer) - screen size is very ample - keys are soft to the touch, very comfortable
