Acer Aspire Laptop Computer

I bought my Acer Laptop in May 2007 from a Wal-Mart Supercenter. I have been extremely satisfied with this product. It features Windows Vista, which I really like. It is similar to Windows XP but has some new features as well. It is very user friendly.
This laptop has a 120 GB Hard drive which is plenty of room for all my pictures, games and music. The computer is compact and light so it is easy to take on the road or to the office. I did a lot of research on-line when I decided I was going to purchase a laptop computer. Part of my research was to scan the local sales ads to see what was on sale. Then make some choices. Then I would jump online and look for reviews for the systems I chose. When the Acer Aspire 5610 was on sale at a local Best Buy, I was pretty pleased with the reviews, finding the biggest issue was with the "on board mouse action". I purchased it for $699.99. I love my laptop

Overall I love this laptop. I have a SONY Vaio but I like this Aspire better because it is lighter in weight and has a built in camera. The software I use on it is fast and effecient and connecting to the internet via my wireless network is fast and easy. The only problem I have is with the display screen. The resolution is 1024 by 768 which is recommended but for some reason my pictures are stretched and look a bit distorted. If I change the resolution then I don't get a full screen. I'm not sure why, but some banners do not show up, like the "REDEEM" banner on the My Points website. ... review »

I love it and I have had it a long time.Other laptops break down but not tthis one.I carry it with me on trips.Even on the airplane.I have even dropped in a few times and no damage.I liked it so much I bought the desktop version.My friends tried it out and then some of them bought the same kind.Plus it is not expensive just reliable.iI would never buy anyt\ computer but Acer from now on and neither would some of my family and friends.

does everything I need

so easy to get started just plug in and use .I expected complicated setup. My only complaints would be when I set the screen to go to standby to save power it has become very dark when it come back on and I have to adjust the brightness. I have also had a couple of Vista issues that were easily resolved.

I purchased the Acer Aspire 5610 to use for school and work. When I first bought it, it came loaded with bunches of Acer software. The software hogged the memory. Once I removed the Acer software, the computer runs great. I love this laptop and would not be able to live without it even though we have two desktops as well. I recommend this affordable laptop to anyone who needs to work on the go or just wants some freedom on where they can work or play on the computer. I would recommend buying a longer lasting battery though, because the one that comes with it dies pretty quickly.

Bought this laptop for $499 at circuit city back in August. It now lists for $699. Huge value for what you get. Super fast,internet is great. Came loaded with Vista-still learning about that. Compatible with my Microsoft Office for XP-even though they say it's not. I had no problem. If you're looking for a great deal on a laptop without spending $1000,look at Acers. They are #3 right now behind Dell and Hp and with good reason. I couldn't get a dell or HP with the same specs.

I bought an acer laptop before starting my sophmore year in college. The computer itself was fine but after 3 months the battery broke and it costs $200 to replace it. I talked to someone who fixes computers and he said that he sees acers in his shop every week with the same problem. Save your money and buy a more expensive but better laptop.

The acer aspire is by far one of the best laptops i have ever owned the opperating system is not only user friendly it provides optimal performance in todays society. I was also really impressed with the standard software that came with the aspire it was also user friendly and useful to me and my entire family

The Acer Asire 1800 is not my favorite laptop at all, to say the least. It has an overheating issue and had to be sent back to Acer more than once.
