I am reviewing the acer,aspire 5315-2077.  The price was right.  I would have preferred having it run on Windows XP rather than Windows vista.  I do have problems with my internet.  My jack needs to be replaced.  It works but it no longer clicks and i have not had this computer for two years yet.  Because of that i wonder some times whether its the computer or my service.  I mainly use my computer to check email, go on facebook, do surveys, take care of bills, through online banking.  I also keep a budget and other financial things on the computer.  I also have recently used it for school too.  I have no complaints for these uses.  Like I said before I do have problems with interenet periodically, so my satisfaction is not always there when I am wanting to get on the internet, because it's slow sometimes.  I enjoy having a laptop, being able to bring it to work if need be, or when I'm traveling, whether be for vacations or hurricanes.  When Ivan came through I had desktop and I was not leaving it, so I like the convenience of carrying it aroundis great.

The Acer is great for the price especially with all the features that comes with it. But the only thing is that right after my 1 year warranty was up the driver malfunctioned on me and I took it to the shop and it has done it again. The battery life is not good either. The webcam is awesome though! The picture quality is so clear. Overall I would not buy another Acer laptop but I would recommend it for a teen or someone that doesnt use the computer much.

I really love my Acer. I wanted a laptop but was unsure which one to purchase. I asked a friend, who is very computer-savvy, and he highly recommended the Acer. He and his wife have Acers and they bought one for their daughter. Its just right for me.

Although I do not like Windows Vista, I do think this computer is a generally good computer. I would like to be able to turn off the touch pad because when I type, my fingers touch the pad and the cursor jumps around. I can't find a way to disable it. There seems to be too many things on Vista for what is really needed- it takes up too much space. The speed on this computer is good.

When I got this laptop, it was by accident really. My ex-husband bought it for himself and then decided he didn't like the Windows Vista Operating system so he went back to his other laptop and so I bought it from him. I wasn't all that excited about it because I didn't like flat keyboards. Having used a type writer for years I thought it would be difficult to get use to not raising your fingers as hight. I had even put a telephone book under my desk top keyboard to raise it up more. Now, I wouldn't go back to a desk top unless forced to. I love the mobility and compact design. The vista program is great. I've had no problems with it like I've heard some people have. It works so quickly sometimes I can't keep up with it. The only thing I don't actually like about it is that the battery only last about and hour and a half. But I think that's average. The sound quality is amazing and so is the speed of the cd burner. Pictures look better after I scan them and reprint than when newly developed. When I need to upgrade, I will purchase another one of this brand.

This Acer Aspire 5315-2326 Notebook has met my needs for a laptop computer. I am always on-line and it hasn't failed me at all for what I use it for. I find it is wonderful for writing cd's and great for viewing movies. It has a 15.4" screen, which is great for viewing what you are doing. I do a lot of research, and the larger screen comes in handy. It doesn't have as much memory as a lot of consumers are looking for today, but it serves my needs very well. For an inexpensive laptop, I would definitely rate it high. If asked, I can honestly say I would purchase an Acer again. It does run hot, but keeping it ventilated has solved that issue, and you should keep all laptops vented, so this really isn't any more of an issue than with other laptops I've used. It serves me in many ways, from keeping up with family, helping me with the household budget and even playing a few games on line. It is quick to come on and allows me to use right away, without waiting forever. I think this is a wonderful product and would recommend it to anyone.

As a freelancer, I use my laptop every day of the week in my work.  This laptop is good for basic functions, like checking email, writing documents and browsing the Internet.  I run several different web browsers and they all work equally well on this machine.  On memory intensive programs, the 1 Gig of memory it ships with just isn't enough.  Programs like Adobe Photoshop will run but there is significant lag and sometimes they will crash.  I have tweaked the machine to run faster by eliminating the Vista Aero default display in favor of a less memory exhausting view. The DVD/CD burner combo is great but when it gets hot you have to wait for it to cool down before you can do anything else with it.  I helped the problem by purchasing a USB powered laptop cooling pad. There are 3 USB ports so, for most people, you will have enough to do whatever you would do with your home computer. The Crystal Eye webcam is great for video chat. I don't care for the placement of the input and output jacks for sound on the front of the machine.  It's just too easy to break the plugs on your equipment.  They would work much better on the side of the laptop. Apples to apples, this is a fair machine for the price.  If tweaked and upgraded, it could be an excellent machine.

I bought this laptop about two years ago and I love it.  It works great.  It is perfect for me because im online all the time.  I don't do a lot of downloading on the laptop.  I mainly just use the laptop to use the internet and play games.  But it gets the job done.  I haven't had any problems with this laptop so far.  It is great for doing simple stuff on the computer especially for getting online and playing games.  I wouldn't try to do a lot of fancy stuff with this computer but for th price I paid for it, it isn't too bad.  I recommend this laptop to others especially if you are just looking for something to goof off on.  The main purpose of me using this laptop is to get online.  I do keep the laptop plugged in because the battery doesn't last too long.  I know the batteries in laptops don't last long anyway but this battery seems to die even quicker.  I like it and it does do what i need it to do.

i got the acer aspire 5315-2227 for my 16th birthday.it was a great gift. my parents surprised me with it. i had been asking for one, but i didn't really think they would give me one, so it was really a surprise.ever since i got it, everybody at home uses it. its really fast and doesn't freeze up too much. i just started college so now its really isefull to me. and its wireless, so that comes in handy. i can take it to school or a library and do whatever i want. the one thing that i wish it has is a webcam. well they have some that come with a webcam but mines didn't.i ended up buying a usb plug webcam.when i first got it it was very complicated and hand to use but once i got the hang of i was unstopable. alot of my friends have goten the same laptop after they see or use mine. it sucks to have the same thing as everybody but i got it first so they are the copy cats.i thought this was the best gift until wen i got my car, but over all its a good laptop.

My Acer notebook has proven itself to be a pain more than anything. The Acer Management system stopped working right after purchase and it is a good thing it did. It would constantly knock me off the internet trying to find other wireless networks. To this day, I cannot be sure if the wireless is disabled or not when I want it to be disabled. It is almost like this computer has a mind of it's own. The battery charger failed within 9 months. Although Acer has had recalls on the battery chargers, they wanted me to send it to them for repair. I didn't do that because it would mean being without a way to use the computer. I, instead, bought another charger. I have been using various computers for a couple of decades and this computer has caused the most problems of any of them. I would never recommend this computer and wish I had invested a little more money and bought a different brand. Acer is not an Ace, it is more like a two of spades.
