I bought the Acer Aspire 4720Z Laptop Computer back in February last year. It was great while it working. I could surf the Web, send and receive e-mails

I purchased this laptop for my then 7 year old daughter as a Christmas present. Really it was for me, so she would get off my computer! Ha!!

Anyway, it was fine the first year. On the second year, the Cd Rom got jammmed and it still stuck to this day. We have tried everything to get it to open. I'm not...

My husband bought me the Acer Aspire 4720Z for Christmas this last year. I must say that this laptop was the best present he could have bought me. This laptop is not very expensive (between $400 and $500) and it is an excellent laptop! It is lightweight and very easy to take with you. The screen is 14.1" which is a great size for a laptop. I love the fact that there is  a third button located in the middle on the mouse pad that you can either click up or down to go to the previous or next page on your document. The speakers are not the greatest but as long as you are not in a noisy area they are...

I purchased this laptop computer a few months ago for a long trip I was taking.  Ended up using it all the time because it is fast, eary to use and light  weight (can go anywhere).  The battery life is outstanding (about 3 hours under normal use).  The software was pre loaded and works great.  Also the WiFi has worked excellent every where I traveled.  The value was outstanding since I paid under $500, I am very satisfied with this computer.

   I have owned my Acer Aspire 4720 for 7 months now and have experienced only one major flaw. At times when I plug in the power cord to keep the battery charged, the computer doesn't always recognize that it is plugged in. In other words, the battery light which should turn green when the cord is plugged in, remains orange for a period of time. Sometimes it takes as long as ten minutes to recognize that the cord is plugged in.

   The computer comes with Vista home premium which I have had no difficulties with. The model I have of the aspire, comes with an accelerated graphics chipset instead...

Excellent value for the price!

Excellent computer for the price. I am a graduate student and this computer fit into my budget. I use this computer everyday and I have never regretted getting it. It doesn't have all the fancy extras that some computers have, but for the average user, most of those aren't necessary anyway. It is light enough that I take it with me everywhere I go. The battery life isn't the best but considering the price, it isn't much of a sacrifice.

I love my laptop! It was a great price. It's fast and easy to use. The Signal Up wireless antenna is great. I will never go back to a desktop computer again. I can't say enough great things about it. The only negative is the battery only last about 2 hours on the power setting I use but you can customize your own power setting for longer battery life.
