The acer AS5745-7633 15.6 inch notebook laptop computer has been a great purchase that I made a few months ago.  I was searching for a laptop that would not break the bank but also had the latest technology features so that I wasn't already purchasing an outdated machine.  The i5 core processor means this laptop is running at super fast speeds and can be used to perform different gaming options if that is something you are interested in.  The graphic quality on the screen will also be high because the acer as5645 has a high quality screen that boasts a resolution value of 1366x768.  The acer comes with an sd card slot to help easily transfer pictures so that is a nice bonus that most laptops these days seem to have.  The acer also has a built in webcam that is 1.3 megapixels so it makes video chatting super easy.  There is bluetooth connectivity to aid in the chatting process reducing background noise that might come from the microphone.

I purchased one of these and for the price it has been wonderful.. I have no lag and I play online games all the time. It's very light weight too which has been proven to be a life saver on my back while traveling. The battery seems to last much longer then my previous laptop too! I highly recommend this product especially for the price!

This may be a "budget laptop," but for 95% of PC users this laptop is more than enough. I bought this for my dad at around 370 bux. The most resource using activity he will do is probably HD youtube or netflix videos. This laptop handles it perfect. Let me do all the pros and cons: Pros: 1) excellent value. it may be called a budget laptop, but the build quality is excellent. Doesnt feel cheap unless you compare it a macbook pro! 2) runs cool. My dad says he can use this on his lap comfortably for 1-2 hrs without buring a hole through his pants. Beyond that it gets slightly warm on the left side. 3) very nice LED screen. The resolution permits 720p video. I'd prefer a higher res screen for myself, but for older individuals lower res allows better readability. 4) decent battery life...around 3 hrs for browsing (no vid). 5) lid isNOT glossy, so its not a fingerprint magnet 6) HDMI at this price! Cons: 1) screen is glossy not matte but this is the norm for consumer laptops these days 2) not that portable, more of a stay at home computer. 3) Keyboard + keypad setup is a little weird. It has a numpad, useful for some but a waste of space for me. Keypad is weird - alligned more towards the left. Just need to get used to it. 4) keypad keys are too hard and one single button. It may loosen up over time. The single key is just annoying. 5) had some bloatware but easily removed with decrapifier. 6) webcam is poor, movements are smooth only at lower resolution.

I got this laptop for my birthday this last year. It has been great for checking my Facebook, watching YouTube videos, checking my e-mail, and playing simple online games. A down side to this laptop is that it is very slow and does not process very fast. I try to watch videos on Hulu and it usually makes the laptop crash, resulting in me having to restart the entire laptop. As far as Microsoft Office 2007, it has great features but again, it's very slow. I use my laptop for schoolwork and it isn't very efficient in that sense. The battery life is horrible. If you want to be able to use this laptop away from an outlet for a long time, it's not going to work out. You have to buy a new battery with more life just to keep it unplugged for over an hour. A great aspect to this laptop is that it has a great webcam and microphone. GREAT for video chat. If it ever lags, it's because of the program in use. If you don't plan on doing big things on your laptop, this is a good laptop for you.
