Acer AL2216WBD (Black) LCD Monitor Reviews

My son's monitor was growing dim on his Windows XP edition and with him getting ready to start taking college courses I gave him my 19" LCD and ordered the Acer 22" to add to my desktop. Since I have Windows XP Pro with Media Center the 19" was not quite large enough to watch TV or DVDs for my eye sight. It's not that I can not see on a 19" but with the 22" I don't have to sit right in front of the desk. I had read reviews on another site which stated the monitor was not very good but was better than other monitors I was looking at.

FedEx dropped it off and with in five minutes I had it up and...

   I am a big fan of Acer monitors in general and the AL2216WBD is a great one, especially for the current prices ( $169.00 online) from several retailers.

   I always thought the Samsung LCD monitors were probably the best all around value for the home PC user until I discoverred the Acers.

  My first Acer was a X221W and was a real eye-openner. Excellent picture quality for just about anything the home user could need at a price, at the time, about 2/3 of the similar Samsung. And it came with a 3 year factory warranty instead of the normal 1 year from most other manufacturers.
