Acai Berry Cleanse —

Extreme Acai Berry -- If you fall for the $3.95 trial order (as I did) READ THIS FIRST -- or you might end up being as angry as I am right now.

After the form where you put in your credit card info, there is a huge green button that says "RUSH MY ORDER."  Of course you're going want to click the green button (as I did). Not visible at that point is fine print at the very bottom of the page saying that unless you call within 14 days to cancel, they will automatically send you a bottle every month, and charge your credit card $89.31.

Forget about returns -- it also says they will not take back any bottle that has been shipped.  Very sneaky and undoubtedly intentional.

As to the product itself -- I noticed nothing from taking it.

My biggest question? -- If their business practices are so lacking in integrity what is the integrity of the product?

In response to peedoffinny's comment from Oct 2, 2008 at 6:52PM:

I'm afraid we're screwed, basically. I ordered the acai berry "free trial" and the colon cleanse "free trial".
I hit the "please rush my order" button, because I fell for the Rachel Ray, Oprah, Dr. Oz name dropping.
I wrongly believed it had to be legitimate. IF it didn't work for me, I had only spent $2+ and $4+ in S&H.
I never received the acai or the colon cleanse. Yesterday (Feb 5/09) I discovered a charge of $78.84
on my debit acct. from "MASTERCLEANSE". I have contacted my bank to change my card number to
prevent further charges (a MUST) or the debits will continue. So, if you've already lost money,
take DRASTIC action NOW to prevent further loss!! I have learned an expensive lesson, and do not believe
I will ever see a refund. However, I have contacted the state Attorney General and the BBB to report
this cyber scam. I did get a phone #1-866-320-0038 for "Total Cleanse" aka SFL Nutrition. I spoke
with a less- than- credible operator, who made all sorts of maneuvers to appease me. I insisted he
send a confirmation of cancellation by email while we remained on the phone, with a confirmation #.
He did so. He stated that the $78.84 would be electronically credited back into my account within 10
days. I have no reason to believe him.....fool me once, shame on them.....twice, shame on me. I will
say also, that hindsight is 20/20. I've investigated (too little, too late) and found that the same pop-up
ad w/photo of girl w/curly sandy brown hair & glasses advertising the free trials, states a different name
and "home town story" at every site. (i.e. Nichole, Meg, Amy, Julianna's diet blog). Furthermore, I've now
read numerous comments on this scam. There seem to be several "bottom feeders" commenting the
most inappropriate views toward those of us who were scammed. It just furthers my fundamental belief
that the internet gives a global stage to those who wish to do bad things to good people.

Wish I had read this before I ordered the Acai Berry. Don't fall for the free sample. It came very late and I couldn't cancel the first bottle in time. I can't get through with the number to call. It keeps on saying to check the number. I'll try other numbers on line. Don't order this product. I should listen to my husband. He says don't do business on line......!!!!!..

Please do not fall for this product. 14 pills at 2 a day is only 7 day sample. They didn't arrive for 3 wks. and then the first bottle arrived. Not to stop it is the problem. They don't answer or it keeps saying to check the number. Wish I had known about this before I ordered.

I am so frustrated. The only number I have to call and cancel on this scam is 1-877-350-8480...it's always busy. Does anyone have another number for them or way to contact?

ARe you calling the right number? No problems here, and the product works

Trysomethingonce wrote on Oct 19, 2008 at 12:49AM

There is nothing hidden, no schemes, you just didnt read up completely. The product works well if you give it a chance

Class action suit anyone??? (to "lady" ---read the terms??Really. Hidden as they are at the very bottom?? Do you not have a life that you have time to scrutinize every offer that comes over the net??)

Yeah. I agree with MardiK's biggest question.

When I ordered my product upon clicking "ok" it tells you to read the terms and conditions; it specifically advised you of being charged after the 14 days and every 31 days after unless YOU the consumer cancel. I have been using the product for 3 months and I have lost 28lbs! I went from 175 to 147! I dont know about you guys but there is nothing hidden; this product can only be bought online and not in every over the counter retail store. My advice read the terms in conditions when buying anything online.

I fell for the same scam. I've been billed twice for $89.31 after ordering my 'free sample.'. I have tried repeatedly to cancel via phone, but the lines are always busy. I've contact the BBB and filed a complaint and also have notified my credit card company but haven't heard from them yet. Is there anyone that has an email address for the Extremen Acai Berry distributor? I can't seem to get this cancelled. Any advice?
