The Manly way to scrub

4

The Axe Shower Detailer is a manly way to get the tough stuff off your skin. It's a viable option to using a puffy loofah, and those rarely come in manly colors like the Axe Shower Detailer's bold red and dangerous black. The loofah side works well to create a lather. The scrubber side is great for your feet and elbows. Why hit the gym shower with a pastel-colored rose when you can use this effective, brawny tool?

Better Than Expected

I received this as gift and didn't really think to use it until my every day shower sponge needed to be replaced. I like that it has two sides, a rougher side and a fluffier sponge-type side. I use the rougher side to exfoliate dry skin on my elbows, knees and feet and the spongier side to just wash the rest of my skin. Both sides allow for soap or body wash to lather pretty well. I love that it has a loop attached so I can hang it in the shower instead of throwing it somewhere in my bathroom. I have used this for about a month now and it is holding up pretty well as I use it once a day in the shower. The rougher scrub side is really helping to exfoliate my winter dried and flaky skin and seems to help in making my skin look less dull and dry. This is a product that I can see myself buying again and again to replace them as they start to wear out. Great product and worth the money.

not the best

I love just about all of the AXE products except this one. One of the big problems I have is not using a whole lot of body wash. but when using this it takes a lot of body wash maybe it is too small. I also have a problem with how rough this product is every time I use this it hurts a little bit and also is not very durable some of the string was coming out not too long after buying this product.

Is the Axe Shower Detailers too many for a girl to use?

3

I got tired of the men in my family using my shower 'poof', so I bought them an Axe Shower Detailer to use with their body washes. It certainly looks more heavy-duty than any girly poof I've ever owned, but the idea behind it is very similar to what I use. I suppose the difference is that it is two-sided. One side consists of the traditional poofy net, while the other is a flatter, harder surface, supposedly for cleaning the areas of a man's body that is too tough for the poofy side. The detailer is attached to a loop so that it can hang in the shower, just like my poof. And there would certainly be no chance of us confusing the difference between my poof and their detailer. The detailer is definitely 'made for a man'. Kudos on the design. But - I dunno. After all my complaining about the guys using my poof, I had to give this detailer a try to see what the big deal is. I found it very uncomfortable to use. The whole thing is surrounded by a hard plastic tire looking thing, which I found intrusive. It's the hard plastic area that seems to block the detailer from really making good contact with the skin. I'm not a fan of it. So what do the guys think about the Axe Detailer? Well, the jury is out. My 11 year old thinks it's cool and wants one of his own. My husband says, "This thing sucks." And my teenage son was too busy listening to his headphones to answer my question.

Very good, but only when you need a good exfoliation

5

Mine was included with a bottle of body wash and I like it, but only use it when I could use a good exfoliation. It is quite abrasive, but only in a good way so I don't use it every day. It is two sided ans even the "puff" side is abrasive in nature, but bot as abrasive as the other side which reminds me of the pot scrubbing side of a sponge.

for real men

I have found that my axe shower detailer holds up better and scrubs better than the various shower poofs i have used before. The axe shower detailer is definitly better made, and sturdier than most shower scrubs. However it is also a little rougher. At the risk of sounding like a sissy I will admit I cannot use it on my more sensitive parts. I do like to use the axe shower detailer on my rougher/tougher parts such as my feet and elbows. The axe shower detailer is well made and sturdy, and does a great job of scrubbing (be careful or it may scrub some skin off along with the dirt and grime!). It is not too expensive and I would reccomend it to any real man that needs a little extra scrubbing.

Finally a good shower puff!

4

Finally a good shower puff, good ones are so hard to find these days. Yes, I am a girl, but I bought one of these for myself --- It's red! I bought one for myself because I have yet to see a shower puff like this for women, and I have been looking for one for a long time. Regular shower puffs get stretched out and big with a couple uses, but I've had the Axe detailer for months and it looks brand spankin' new. I can't think of anything negative to say about this product, it's near perfect. I also love how they put a pumicing device on the back of it, it works great for my feet and elbows. Goodbye dryness! It's a little pricey, but for how LONG it lasts, it's totally worth it. I seriously think they need to come out with a girl brand of this type of thing, I feel a little silly using a mans product but it works so good. My husband has one also -- Blue! I would definitley recommend this product.

How do you use the Axe Detailer on delicate areas?

4

I had a bath puff many years ago when the first appeared on the store shelves for sale.I liked bath puffs they work well with body wash.If you are a fan of body wash you really need a bath puff.I gave up using bath puffs shortly after I began using them. The reason I gave up using bath puffs was because I cant fathom how you clean behind your ears and your shall we say delicate areas.I did however try out the Axe Shower Detailer.as far as these puff thingys go this one is great.I like the Axe Shower Detailer because it has an exfoliating side.I have never seen a bath puff that offered a exfoliating side.I also found the rubber stuff surrounding the Axe Shower Detailer to be helpful at keeping a grip on it.I found that my bath and shower gels lathered up great on the detailer.I did have a little trouble getting soaps and bath washes to lather as well on the exfoliating side. All and all this worked great but I still need a wash rag to clean some delicate areas of my body.

average detailer

i got this shower detailer with my axe shower gel in a dual pack.  i was pretty excited to try it out.  First off, let me begin by describing how the detailer is, theres two sides.  one side for scrubbing and the other to lather up.  i personnaly don't have a probelm with this detailer except i think there are better ones out there.  It kind of looks like a wheel on a car to me, especially the softer outer shell of it. Using the detailer is pretty simple, you go in teh shower and wet it and put your desired soap or body wash on it.  Since it is made by axe you should use it with axe shower gel but i don't think anyone uses axe every time they shower so you can use whatever you shower with on the detailer.  some cons are that it is too small and the rough part, with the axe logo, is hard to lather up.  im sure all of you have heard axes is tag line to go with this product, that this cleans you manly parts.  i feel it does an ok job but could be better as a tool overall.

Great product for men

5

This is a great shower scrubber for men or even boys.  It has a body scrubber on one side and on the other side is a flat rougher scrubber.  This side is good for those real dry patches of skin or for the face.  It has a rubber grip in the middle that makes it easy to hold onto.  They come in red or blue.  I have two boys, ages 7 and 9, and they like these as well as my husband.  The packages say to replace them about every 3 months but I have tossed them in the washer and they hold up.  I don't put them in the dryer, I just have them back in the shower to dry.  They last a little longer this way.  The price is a little more expensive than a women's body scrubber but these have a little more to them.  You can find them at just about any retail store that carries axe products.  They are located with the body washes.  They seem to be well made and hold up for quite a while.  The only thing I would say is a disadvantage is that it might be harder to clean some areas because of the rubber grip.  I would definitely recommend this product.
