I love the Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque. I bought it for a friend, and after she raved about this product, I decided to buy one for myself as well. In the winter, my face tends to be dry so using the Aveda masque really hydrates my skin and my skin doesn't feel so dry and unsmooth.

I bought this when I went into pick up some shampoo. It was an awesome impulse buy! It goes on really silky smooth and you can feel it working right away. A little goes a long way with this mask. You only need a quarter size dollup and it spreads evenly. I've used different masks that you have to clump it on just to get it everywhere. It doesn't feel gross or grainy. You let it dry and it works its magic. Let me tell you, it really does work some magic. I have sensitive, red, dry skin. I break out easily and I'm in my 30's! This mask made my skin smooth. I didn't have to scrub it off. It washed off easily with splashes of water, which is the best way to clean off any creams. If you are at all familiar with Aveda, they have the best smelling products. This mask takes you on a soothing journey into happy skin land. This is a mainstay of my skin care regimen. You don't have to use it every day to be effective. When you have to use a mask every day, then it's not doing its job! Highly recommend!

I had a facial at an aveda salon and the esthetician recommended this product to me so I bought it.  i think she may have used it during my facial as well.  this product does nothing bad for your skin.  However, I found it to be very much like aloe vera gel, which is the first ingredient.  it has some other ingredients in as well.  if you like this product, i would recommend just buying pure aloe vera gel and perhaps adding your own botanicals to it, if you want to spice it up a bit.  pure aloe vera gel would be more healthy than using this product which has some other chemicals/preservatives in it, which may not be good to be absorbed through the skin.

The Aveda Intensive Hydrating Masque works wonders for dry skin and for skin that needs intense hydration and renewal. This masque works great alone or mixed with essential oils like lavendar, peppermint, or lemongrass. When you first put it on your face it will feel soothing and it has a very light, refreshing scent that you can barely smell. It does not irritate the skin or cause redness or any other problems like that and leaves the it feeling soft, smooth, and healthy. The masque has a cooling effect, almost like putting cucumbers on your face! It has the perfect consistency, also, and is not too runny or thick. The only problem that I can think of with the Aveda intensive Hydrating Masque is that it is expensive. However, if you care about the quality more than the cost, this is a great choice as it is great for your skin and helps alleviate troublesome problems on the face like dryness, redness, and can even help with acne when it is used regularly.

I love this product, and have been using it for a few years now. I have dry skin all year, but it gets much worse in the winter. I often get dry and flaky skin on my face, depsite using creams, lotions and cleaners for dry skin. I bought this product for the first time in winter, when my skin was feeling particularly dry. I wouldn't have normally wanted to spend so much money on a product, but I really needed a high-quality product, so I stopped in Aveda and found this mask. I was amazed at how smooth and soft my skin felt after just one use. I've been purchasing this product ever since. You can either put a thick layer on your skin and rinse off after 5 or 10 minutes, or you can put a thinner layer on overnight. I have used it both ways, but prefer to put a thicker layer on for about 10 minutes. While I would recommend it to people with dry skin, in particular, I think that it would be good for anyone, especially during the winter months. I know that this product is not cheap, but I do really believe that it is worth the money.
