AT&T —

The coverage is great, and there aren't a real problem with dropped calls, but the new customers signing up get all the consideration and perks and existing customers get nothing for being good or long term customers.  That is particularly frustrating.  And the way they are pushing the online bill paying options is almost to threaten you if you don't choose to pay that way (concerns about security of your accounts and personal information still keep me from doing alot of bill paying online or allowing others to access my bank accounts)....I don't see that I should be penalized for a payment that is in full and on time, just because I don't choose to pay on line or with my cell phone.   It just hasn't been proven to be as secure as they would like me to believe as yet, and my credit card has been compromised once in an online transaction (not with the phone company) and once burned, you tend to be even more cautious as it was a huge mess to clean up.  I signed on originally with Cingular and had unlimited rollover minutes, but now that AT & T has taken over, I am limited to banking no more than one months worth of my contract minutes....I really don't like it when they feel that they can change a contract midway through and not compensate me for reducing benefits.

In response to SpokaneMan's comment from Apr 21, 2008 at 1:31PM:

When I first took the program, I was told that I could have up to four lines with the family package that we agreed to. I would have unlimited rollover minutes excepting for the end of the year-at January 1, I would loose all the rollover minutes in excess of my usual monthly paid for minutes, but only on January 1....When I went in to add the fourth line, as we only took three to begin with, I was told that I had to upgrade to a package that was more paid minutes or they wouldn't let me have the fourth line, and also that I would loose my accrued rollover minutes and start over-(I had over 1700 minutes in the bank) and that from that point forward, I could never have more minutes that the number I paid for monthly.....I argued and pitched a fit and basically had to threaten breach of contract in that they would hold me to all terms in their favor such as penalties for cancelling service etc, but they didn't seem to feel the same need to honor the agreement as it related to my rights and priveleges. Upshot is that I had to compromise, take the larger minutes package to get the fourth line, but they left my rollover minutes as per my contract until the contract comes up for renewal in November of this year....

It doesn't sound fair at all to have your contract changed like that. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
