The AT&T Quickfire phone is something of a Blackberry for beginners.  Quickfire's slide-out full QWERTY keypad makes texting and entering appointments easy.  My wife uses her Quickfire as her personal organizer by customizing alarms to help her remember milestones throughout hectic days.  Quickfire's touch screen and rotating screens make it easy to get to the applications.  Then, slide out the keypad and type away.  The Quickfire also plays MP3s and has a loud enough external speaker to listen with or without headphones.  If you can afford the extra service, the AT&T Quickfire is ready for... review »

To clarify my demographic, 41 yr old mother and wife.  My profession is my family, my cell phone usage doesn't require a lot of sophistication.  I am also completely ignoring the Iphone craze simply out of stubbornness.

That being said, this little cell phone (AT&T Quickfire) is really great.  It is a touch screen when held vertical and converts to a horizontal screen that slides open to a qwerty key pad for texting and email.  I was very slow to learn texting on the number pad of my last phone.  This qwerty pad has solved all my problems!  I love that  you can actually feel the keys, they...

The Quickfire is a pretty nice phone. The keyboard is absolutely amazing. It's not hard to figure out, and the buttons are large and spaced out. The touchscreen, however, is a little iffy. Sometimes it takes a while to get it to respond, sometimes it won't respond at all, and sometimes (on my lucky days) it responds quickly and immediately. The Quickfire isn't hard to figure out, but it's name seems to be a bad luck charm. See, theres a right and a wrong way to charge it (btw, the battery life isn't awesome, but it can last about two days if you're not talking/texting nonstop) and many people seem...

Quickfire from AT&T is an appealing alternative for the Sidekick. The good:
The AT&T Quickfire has both a touch screen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It also has multimedia features, HSDPA speed, stereo Bluetooth, A-GPS, and a full HTML browser.

The bad:
The AT&T Quickfire suffers from a slightly finicky touch-screen interface, especially when it comes to the browser.

The bottom line:
Though it has a few design quirks, the AT&T Quickfire's impressive feature set and intuitive controls make it one of the better messaging phones out there.Plenty of messaging phones have come our way lately, with...

Let me just say that my teen loves, loves, loves her Quickfire from At&t.....I got it for her as a replacement phone since her other one crapped out. .....So far, I have had it for 2 months and we have not had a single problem with it. It takes great snapshots and she loves the Qwerty keyboard and touchscreen. It seems pretty reliable since she has dropped it multiple times. She loves the fact that it is pretty thin and compact. Crafted very well and seems that it will last a while. We did have some concerns over the recall scare with it, but it turns out that as long as you plug the...

The Att Quick Fire is a great phone. Not only is it gret for text messagng, its touch screen, and its great for navigating the internet. i found some of its apps a great feature especially the GPS navagation system. This phone is very up to date not only whith the features that come inside but on the outside as well. It comes in three different colors, orange, green, and grey. With amazing bluetooth and great reception you call from anywhere and it works perfectly. I was thinking of buying a digital camera but the resolution on this phone is so amazing there was no need for that, it has a camera...

AT&T - Quickfire Cell Phone, this phone has drove me crazy. It is a touch screen and at first it is very sensitive, but after a few weeks it isn't so sensitive, then the touch screen will take you to places you didn't want to go several times. I got one, had troubles with it, got a replacement within a month it went bad too sent it back and told them it was a hunk of junk and I wanted something else that I didn't have to return twice in the first 6 months.

The Quickfire is a fun phone, I enjoyed texting on it and checking emails.  However I owned the phone for the two months and began experiencing problems with it.  My phone would not charge up past a forth of a charge.  When I took it back to the store I was told the phone was recalled because it did not meet standards.  Don't pay for this pricey phone! It has been recalled!!!
