AT&T - Cordless Phone Review

There's only one reason I purchased a cordless phone about 6 months ago.  I spend most of my time in the family room, and the handset to my landline is at the computer facing away from our TV.  Therefore, if I ever want to watch a ballgame or anything else that demands my attention on the tube, I must either put the DVR on hold or miss some of my program to get up and answer the phone.  The idea of purchasing a cordless phone appeared to be the answer.  However, as soon as you remove the handset from the charging dock, the battery starts to wear down and before you know it, you're without a functional phone again.  Since we have no cell phones here, this has more often than once put us in a position where calls had to be prematurely disconnected.  I realize is a problem common to all cordless phones, but it was still a disappointment and I wanted to share it with you all.
