We signed up with AT & T years ago.  I was a little nervous, because my only prior experience with cell phone service had been Bellsouth and that sucked more than I have room to go into, here.  My step-father had signed on with Verizon and, at the time, they had the best nationwide coverage.  As both he and my mom travel extensively with their businesses, they needed reliable coverage.  So, to avoid my mom having to pay for breaking her contract, I took it over.  This was more than five years ago.  Since then, we've had our ups and down.  We've had horendous billing problems (to give you and idea of how bad it was, they wound up refunding me a little over $300), but through each incident, I felt like the CSR really went above and beyond to get me through the situation while still a AT & T customer.  Then, they switched to being Cingular.  That was rough, really, really, rough.  Our plan wasn't set up right, some rude person told us that we HAD to get new phones, as our old ones wouldn't work on the new system and we had more billing issues.  We held through, though, and now we're back to being A T & T.  That last switch was much easier than the first. I feel like we're charged a fair price for the services that we get.  When our contract was up, I did a lot of research looking into other carriers and AT & T had the plan that best fit my needs and also for the best price.  We rarely have dropped calls or get to an area where we don't have service.  All in all, we're happy with the company.

I left before the merger but I never had a problem with their customer service people. ;) Ron
