I eagerly ordered AT & T U verse in Houston and waited happily for it to be set up...and then I embarked on a nightmare experience. Because of my work schedule Installation was only available 3-4 weeks after I placed it on a Saturday. I rearranged my day and waited at home- no one showed up. I called customer service to get an update- that was a disaster- I got bounced about multiple departments, someone finally gave me a number to 'dispatch' turned out to be a fax number- tried again got transferred to 'dispatch' after a waiting period got disconnected, tried again- got put on hold for 35 minutes the only reason I didn't hang up was my pride. Was told that my order had been canceled! The lady had no idea why and when I asked she transferred me mid sentence to the customer service department- I went-through the long tedious automated prompts and finally got put on hold for another 20 minutes, after which someone told me it had indeed been canceled, he didn't know why didn't know who did it and I would-have to place my order again and the wait time for installation would be another month!!! This is after I have rearranged my life/work schedule to be at home , waited almost a month for installation already, called my cable service provider in anticipation of the switch date!! I was so frustrated it was unbelievable , and the way I was bounced around and no one knew what was going on was unprofessional beyond belief and I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy!!!
