This laptop has served me well throughout my schooling. Unfortunately, I've run into two small glitches that can be quite irritating. 1) It could run a bit faster. 2) There is this annoying spot on the screen that makes it seem the mouse is there when you re-open the lid after you close the laptop, forcing you to reboot. These have been issues since purchase. Other than these two things, I really do love this laptop. It is sleek and light and overall amazing. Ease of Use Extremely easy to use and a lot of help can be found online if you don't know how to do something. Asus is really good at answering any questions you may have. This laptop comes with exceptional customer support. Battery Life This battery lasts forever. I have had this laptop for quite some time, and as long as you don't have any bad battery behaviors, like leaving it plugged in all the time and never letting it die, it has an extremely resilient battery. Support & Service Once again, Asus customer support is awesome. Speed/Performance I love my computer, but the initial speed of it just doesn't measure up. Design Sleek and light. Durability I have wheeled it around in my backpack and beat the casing up pretty badly on the side, and i did no harm to it. The CD ROM drive has taken a beating, and it keeps on spinning!

This laptop has it all and does not feel like a netbook in any sense other than the size. The display is crystal clear, no dead pixels, and great viewing angles. Beautiful case, Matte finish on the lid is very classy looking. This system really straddles that line between netbook and full laptop. The NEO 2 processor is reasonably fast and allows for snappy performance and the ATI video adapter is powerful enough for some 3D gaming. The Chiclet style keyboard is really nice. Also all the keys are logically laid out. I love the track pad and how well it works in both Windows and Ubuntu. The addition of USB 3.0, Bluetooth, HDMI, and speedy processor all make for an excellent machine. I went the extra mile and upgraded the RAM to 4GB, swapped out the HD with an SSD, and dual booted with Ubuntu 10.10 and Windows 7. Ubuntu works out of the box with no tweaks. I can even use Compiz with no issues. This thing flies (fast boot, highly responsive in both Windows and Ubuntu, applications run super-fast, and shuts down in 3 seconds). I highly recommend this to anyone who has some technical proficiency. Bluetooth - It isn't 3.0 as advertised. Also can't install Broadcom's latest driver pkg. Might be better off with an external bluetooth adapter.
