On-Line Order Warning -- Extremely poor business practices

Substantial order placed on Day One. Order classified as pending. Charge Processed on Day Two. Order immediately cancelled.

No notification. ZERO. Only uncovered by drilling down to invoice level.

AP Wagner had no comment when called, only stated that a refund would be processed within the 30-day period required by law.

Chase refused to suspend the order so that no interest would accrue.

AP Wagner - terrible customer service

This was my worst online ordering experience ever.  I ordered 12 small parts for a laundry stacking kit, all of which said "usually ships in 1 day".  The company shipped 2 of the 12 and charged my card for the entire amount.  I called to ask why my card was charged and when the other parts would be shipped and was told that they didn't know.  They refused to credit my card for the unshipped parts until they were shipped.  I then asked for my order to be cancelled, and they refused and called it a "special order" - in spite of a prominent "easy returns" on the home page of their website.  A few days later I received an order update that 9 more parts were shipped (making a total of 11) and the order was complete!  The tracking order listed was the same one that the first two parts were sent on 2 weeks earlier.  I called to find out what was going on and was told that the remaining 10 parts were on back-order and she didn't know what email I possibly could have gotten, implying that I somehow was confused by the second email.  She then said she couldn't help with online orders and tried to transfer me to someone else.  I picked this vendor because the parts were slightly cheaper than other vendors.  I wish I would have used a reliable vendor and paid the few extra dollars.

Reasonable priced parts shipped quickly

A few months ago our 9-year-old washing machine stopped working properly. The tub was spinning and draining properly, but the agitator was not cranking so the clothes weren't getting cleaned.  I thought about calling service but knew it would be probably $100 just for them to come in and say hello so I decided to user the power of the internet to my advantage to see if I could figure out the problem myself.

After checking out a few sites and appliance repair blogs, I was able to isolate what I thought the problem was and decided to take a chance on the online appliance parts store advertised on the blog called **AP Wagner**.

That turned out to be a really good decision on my part as they had the part I needed for only $5.  Shipping was about $7 which I feel is kind of unreasonable as the part I needed weighed about an ounce, but it was still less than calling a repair service.

AP Wagner's site was really easy to navigate, I found the part quickly, ordered it, and it arrived within 5 days or so.  Unfortunately I could not get to the area of the agitator to replace the new part. It was totally stuck in there and I couldn't get the cover off.  So I ended up going back to APWagner's site and ordering a whole new agitator ($50 but still way cheaper than service).

The online photo didn't look quite like the agitator I pulled out of my washer so I called AP Wagner's customer service line kind of late in the evening on a Sunday and was surprised that someone answered my call.  She was very helpful and assured me that as long as their part number matched the part number I needed, all would be fine.  And she was right. I was also able to take advantage of a repeat customer discount, this being my 2nd order within a month so that was nice. They had the best price, guaranteed delivery earlier than any of the other parts sites I had checked, and the discount was a plus.

So I ordered new agitator on a Sunday night and it was delivered on Tuesday, exactly matched the old part, and I fixed my washer myself for probably half the price of calling service.  I would not hesitate to call AP Wagner again for any other appliance part needs.  I was totally satisfied with both of my purchases, with customer service, the repeat customer discount, and the lightning fast shipping.  Recommended!
