I am currently a BSCJ student at AIU, after having already received my AABA there, and I find the school very much to my liking. The teachers and other staff really care, for the most part, the classes are interesting, and except for weekly deadlines, they bend over backwards to help you fit your education into your schedule. Whether you're a single Mom with 5 kids, a paralegal looking to upgrade her education for her job, or someone like me, a fiftysomething who wants to get her degree and make a significant career change, AIU is the place for you. I have met people from all over the world,...

I work part-time, own a business, raising two teens and a husband, so AIU Online was the perfect solution for me to get my degree. One thing..if you attend AIU be prepared to do alot of research and writing. Just like with any other college you have a variety of Instructors. Some seem to take their job seriously while others are just there.
Each class holds "class" twice a week. IF you can not attend...

This was the best experience of learning that I have ever had. I graduated with a 3.8 gpa on Sept. 22nd, 2007 with an Assoc. degree in Business Administration, with honors!
It was challenging but it was fun and I did learn a lot about business in todays world. I had never extended my computer skills as much as when I did this totally online but I wouldn't trade the experience with any brick and mortar building. It was so wonderful to IM my teachers and classmates and to know that they were there for me as well as I for them. It also wasn't hard to do as I thought it...
read full review »Attending American Intercontinental University On-line was a rewarding educational experience for me. On-line learning is challenging, but I'm an individual who likes to be challenged. I had the opportunity to attend live chats sessions and participate on the Discussion Boards. In addition, I enjoyed the Individual Projects and Group Projects as well. These learning modules taught me how to think critically and think outside the box. The Group Projects were my favorites; they taught me how important it is to work on a team project with many students who had different opinions and views. ...

My employers know that I am smart and eager to acheive, but because companies must avoid workplace discrimination, Job postings and descriptions include educational requirements that are mandatory for certain positions. There was no getting around it, if i was going to acheive my goals and secure the position I desired, I had to earn a degree." This began my search for a college or university program that would fit into my busy lifestyle; that of a working mother and wife.
I searched and researched...

AIU was reasonable with working with my financial aid needs as well as being able to access my classes and submit assignments as my own pace. I only have one gripe for AIU and that was when I decided to attempt to get my BA in Org Psych and Dev was when the discounts that I qualified for were increased in the middle of my program but was not able to enjoy them because they were not retroactive to my program start date.
