AIG Review Summary

Insurance companies are many, and they often get mixed reviews. AIG Insurance is no exception, and reviewers of this insurance company have many words of praise and also several words of criticism about AIG Insurance. It’s the “Best All- Around Auto Insurance at a Very Competitive Price” says one reviewer, but then another counters by saying AIG Insurance is “Only Good in the Beginning” and goes downhill shortly afterward. AIG Insurance has great rates, but they are apparently not easy to deal with and the insurance rates quoted by AIG Insurance are constantly changing. It makes AIG Insurance a mixed bag among Insurance Companies and one that potential customers should investigate thoroughly before accepting an offer.

I did research to find a good company that had the cheapest rates for my situation. I feel that everyone ownin a car should have car insurance. It is very easy to get if you have income. You can purchase it online, by phone, or just walk into the office. We have had AIG for auto insurance for about five years now, and I have no complaints.  Their prices are very competitive.  My experiences with Customer Support Staff have been positive.  I have to admit that we have not filed any claims with them, so I cannot review them on that aspect of their services. —  I pay my bills online with AIG which is quick and easy with no hidden fees.  I like the fact that I can go online and check details of my policies at any time, without having to dig through my paper files, or place a phone call. — I have dealt with… read full review »

When I saw the add online for AIG auto insurance I was hoping to find a low price. Here I am a good driver with no accidents or tickets and I couldn't understand why I was paying so much with my previous insurer. I have been with AIG for several years now. Their rates are less than AAA and other well known companies. They have organization discounts if you belong to any of them. They also offer roadside and identity theft assistance for free. If you figure in the cost of an annual roadside assistance membership fee, you are saving money right there. The only thing I think is a little ridiculous is that they set a percentage of their rates on the number of miles you drive each year. So the higher the miles, the higher the insurance cost. — Sometimes you just wake up and decide to question what your spending. I am so glad I did! I really saved over 600.00 a year on my car insurance. I have had AIG for almost a year. I am trying to find another agency. Over the past year, they have adjusted my rates twice, lost information previously sent, and I have had to clear up issues with them continuously.  For someone who has a busy schedule between work and family, this requires way too much continual contact. I had to call them when my policy was expiring to find out where my card were, only to find out that they were missing forms. The quote that AIG provided me with was very reasonable at the time.  A month after having the insurance the price actually increased, which I absolutely did not like, but I am sticking it out until the policy is up.  It seems that they are not very reachable.  The internet site is not very current in my opinion, and any time I reach them on the phone I always seem to get someone that does not know what they are talking about. … read full review »
