ACCO Brands Paper Clips Standard .031 Wire Gauge 100 Pk Gold Review

One of the most frequently used products in my arsenal of office supplies is definitely the Acco paper clips that I have come to rely upon. This particular type of paper clip is the No.1 size (0.31 wire gauge) which they sell all over the place. If you were classifying the size of these paper clips, you would probably call them "normal size", but more clearly, they are the small version of the great Acco product.

The Acco No.1 size paper clips, are further distinguished by their more specific name of "Smooth Finish Economy" style. This smooth finish helps the clips to glide smoothly over every surface that they are used upon, and helps your sensation of touch when you are reaching into your desk drawer without peeking first. I like them because they do easily work at keeping papers bound together, and they don't run any risks at hurting the documents that you are working with. Some clips I have used in the past have been less than adequate in that regards.

The Acco clips are made of a nice metal, which keeps the paper clips solid no matter what the environment. As long as you use them in the correct fashion, they hold up very well over time, and you don't have to worry about them wearing down as some other office utensils might. I should warn that if you bend them out of their intended shape, that they will only go back to the original shape with a lot of work. My recommendation is to not play around with them too much if you want them to always be operating a peak performance level. It is not a lot to ask of a paper clip for it to work well, but you don't want to harm it and keep it from doing its job.

The Acco paper clips that I purchase come in a 100 count box, which is just the right size for the corner of a desk. They come with all 100 clips inside the small box, but when I get them, I tend to put them into my magnetic holder, or in one of the compartments that my desk drawer offers me. Keeping the box though, can help you keep the clips all in one place, and you will have less worry about dumping them all over in your desk. The 100 count boxes can be seen at nearly any office supply store, as well as online where ever office supplies are being sold. I have purchased them both online, and in person, and I don't really have a preference which way I end up buying them.

The clips sell for just over $1.00 (usually around $1.19 to $1.49) for one of the 100 count boxes, but you can often find them selling in wrapped sets of 3 or 10 boxes. This is a lot of paper clips to buy in a single visit, but if you are in a busy office, who knows how many of the clips you could end up using over a short period of time. The Acco clips have become one of the primary paper clips that I use, and they safely (and cleanly) hold together anywhere from 2 to 10 pages at a time. You can force them to do more than 10, but it might cause the clip to lose its shape. In any regards, the clips have worked very well for me, and at such a cheap price, it is easy to give them my high recommendation.
