The new TV season has started, but I am busy at the computer and don't have a recorder. The solution is to watch the shows on the Internet whenever I want. Many channels offer this, but the full episode player at abc.com is the one I watch the most. It is easy to get. If you have to add anything, they tell you in plain English, not computer speak, and the process is quick and painless. The shows have good photos and descriptions. I do not have cable right now and that makes this on-line viewer even more awesome. i get to watch the shows i love at my own convenience and for free! being a mother of two both of those things are super important. if my kids don't go to bed when i want them to i don't miss my shows. if they wake up in the middle of a great part of my favorite show i can pause and resume when the peace and quiet settles in again. my husband and i always watch certain shows together and others apart. its a pretty cool concept, and its working out for us. now on the other side, i really don't like having to… read full review »

I watch a great deal of television online, and I enjoy using ABC's player, though it isn't as streamlined and practical as NBC's, which I think is the best.  They have a wide variety of shows available to watch, usually with a handful of previous episodes, not just the last one.  It's easy to use, though I have had occasional technical problems with it.  It is frustrating, though, when they make a show disappear, such as when they cancelled Miss Guided and all of the episodes were gone from the website.  It's a great way to keep up with your favorite ABC… read full review »

Being a mother of two makes TV time a challenge. I always end up losing the battle and have endless hours of children's programming on in the evenings. There is only a short amount of time that I have once the kids are in bed and before I have to turn in that I get to watch what I want. Usually by that time it would be programs that are Tivo'd. Well since I work at home on the computer every day, the abc viewer is my best friend. I already watched a good amount of the shows on there. I really like that ABC offers this option as a way to "keep up" with its programming.  I often work evenings and do not have Tivo or DVR, so I love that I can still watch my favorite shows online for no fee.  The advertisements are very minimal and are worth the wait. (It still takes less time than actually watching the show on TV.)  Nearly all of their shows are online, unlike many of their competitors who only offer the longer-running or less-popular shows online.  The resolution is good and the streaming delay is little to none.  The fullscreen… read full review »

I watch TV shows all day on this site sometimes! I put it on in a little screen while I am working. It is also very easy to close if say a manager comes by =). It is fun and I can catch up on an entire season in one day. I think they should put more shows up but I bet that will happen soon. I wish they would put the daytime soaps like general hospital because I am not able to watch it everyday and often would like to see it.  It would be great if all of the networks did this. This is great. I'm following a couple shows that are on at conflicting times.  Now I  never have to wonder what happened on a  show I missed since it's available 24-hours after it airs on TV.  don't have TIVO, so I use this to watch shows I have missed or re-watch episodes that I really enjoyed. I love the ABC episode viewers and got hooked when I was living in Arizona but now that I've moved to Manhattan it's not working. — I can log onto the sites but when I go to load the shows ( which have always worked before outside of Manhattan) ABC's site says the episodes "unavailable" check back later...but when I had friends check in other parts of the country they can log on at the same time with no problems. Sorry to write a negative review, but it has been frustrating to be an American living overseas and not be able to utilize the website because it is limited to viewing in the US.  I realize that there may be legal reasons for this, but since I do not know the whole situation, I feel justified in writing this review and asking if there is any way to make the shows available in a way that is not piracy to those of us who are living in other countries.  Until then, I'll have to settle for piracy! … read full review »

I absolutely ADORE the fact that I can watch my TV show online if I missed it! As a mom of a picky toddler, I don't get much time for adult television. If I have to go running around or we just forget that there is a show on, all we have to do is just view it online. The only part I don't like are the commercial breaks, but those are necessary. We love to use this to watch Lost and a couple other shows.  Our TV reception isn't always great (we don't have cable) and our small kids make it hard to watch TV shows when they air.  It didn't always work super great, but this season it has worked beautifully.  When I did watch an episode of a program on the air I thought, "wow, there are so many commercials!"   Much better to watch them… read full review »

I really do love the ABC player. Not only is it easy for your computer to download, but there is also a huge selection. I have interest in watching a lot of new shows that I hear about but I always forget what time they are on, getting into them online first makes it so much easier to remember. I love this option. It's awesome to be able to catch up on the latest shows if you miss one. I also didn't mind having the short 10 second commercials. I guess if I watched it continuously on-line it could get annoying, but for just an occasional watch it isn't that bad. I also like the fact that you can pause it.
