I am former classroom teacher, Mom and current home-schooler and I have used and enjoyed this web site in all of my roles. There are tons of educational math web sites out there but this is one of my favorites.

Why is this one a favorite? There are three reasons. It is so easy to use. It is interactive. It is comprehensive for grades K-8.

Here's how this web site is set up:

First simply choose a grade level from Kindergarten through eighth grade.

You will then be provided with a comprehensive list of math objectives for that grade.

Click on the math objective that you're interested in and then choose from the ways the interactive student can "play" these math drill games.

Here's an example:

I can choose third grade and then find what we are looking for such as multiplication, measurement, rounding or Roman Numerals.

If I choose multiplication, it will break down the choices even further so that I can choose multiplication tables for 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, 0-9, or 10-12.

I really like this feature because that means a student working only on tables up to 3 can enjoy this without facing problems they are not ready for.

Lastly, I can choose the Learn feature, (principles of the concept), the Practice feature (lets kids practice without timer) or Play feature (with timed games).

Parents or teachers can also save results to review.

The activities on this site are very beneficial for math education compared to a worksheet because on a worksheet students may be doing all of the problems wrong before they get any feedback. This interactive web site gives immediate feedback to students.

Math can be both fun and challenging. Teachers and parents need a huge bag of tricks to support math education. I love hands-on teaching toys like the Plastic One Inch Cubes but I also value this web site as another very helpful tool.

My Viewpoint:

AAA Math is so well organized and comprehensive that I don't have to waste any time searching for just what I need and that leaves more time for teaching and learning. AAA Math gets an AAA+ from me.

My son who is in the 5th grade comes home with the hardest math homework. We didn't learn math the same way they do now so this site will be very helpful to me when assisting him with his math homework. Great review!

My two oldest girls were home-schooled. It's amazing how far that has come!

great information and sounds like it could even help with parents and giving kids a little extra work and attention to increase their math skills. Devon actually thinks math is FUN! Lucky me! :-)

No. AAA Math is free and you don't even have to register or log-in to use it. Great question. I should have mentioned that. Thanks for keeping me on my toes here!
