A Thousand Splendid Suns Review

This is just a great book.  I liked it more than the Kite Runner, maybe because it was about women.  This book really takes you outside of your comfort zone.  To think of the horrors these women went through, and that it happened as recently as the 1990's, is just mind-blowing.  The fact that they weren't even allowed to go out in public without a male or hold a job.  This book really makes you realize that we are all pretty much the same, but the varous environments that we live in make us seem very different.  A must read.
