A Prairie Home Companion Review

As an NPR listener and fan of Prairie Home Companion and Garrison Keiler, in general, I found this film to be largely disappointing. Altman has done wonders with ensemble casts (e.g. Nashville, M*A*S*H), but this is not one of his exemplary works. The film drags on, the storyline is inane and unnecessary and the ending in unsatisfactory. All in all, I'd save my money and go see a live show of Prairie Home Companion, any day.
