Eckhart Tolle has long been a FAVORITE inspirational teacher of mine since "The Power of Now."  I hope that the many who have found this work inspiring will later read or listen to "The Power of Now."  However, this book is MORE enchanting if you've read or listened that one FIRST then read his latest book "A New Earth."  For me, A New Earth was more of a refresher and not really NEW.  Many of the concepts were already taught in The Power of Now.  If this is your first Tolle, then many on the seekers path will find this refreshing and will more likely feel that… read full review »

 Some people will love this book and some will think it foolish.  It opened my eyes to why I do some things that I didn't understand.  He calls it an awakening and in a way I guess it is.  I never thought that much about my ego before.  My hubby and I sometimes argue to get in the last word and that is our ego's.  I didn't think about what it taught children to watch their parents arguing.  I knew it wasn't good but I didn't realise to what depth.  It is a book that sets you to thinking in a new way and opens your eyes, your heart and your ego.  We… read full review »

Read this book. Change your life. Eckhart Tolle is a genius. I felt my life shifting with every word on every page. He had me in tears at some points with the truth about myself pouring out of the pages of that book. I could read and reread that book over and over. As a big fan of getting in touch with my inner self, I was swept up in the Oprah buzz on this book and couldn't wait to get it.  Decided to buy the audio version so I could listen to it on my Ipod whenever I had a spare moment.  I have to say that the author should not have narrated this audio book himself, his heavily accented voice is monotonous and boring, and the book's contents are presented in a very guilt-inducing way.  Instead of feeling uplifted and enlightened, after every chapter I felt inadequate and even depressed.  I got through about half of the 5-disc… read full review »

This book is an awesome read, if you are ready to work on yourself as a being of the world.
