A Death in White Bear Lake is a book written about true happenings in White Bear Lake, MN and surrounding cities.  I first became interested int he book because my Grandfather is in it.  I would not have chosen to read this book or books like it otherwise.
As I read the book my opinion of books of this sort (based on actual people, or true stories) has changed.  I became intrieged and fascinated by the characters.  I really enjoyed reading this book.
The story is a bit disjointed at times as the author hops across the timeline to tell the whole story.  The effect as a whole was a well rounded tale and fully developed characters that you were able to become involved with.
A Death in White Bear Lake is worth the time to read!  Barry Siegel tells the tale well.
