I first got the full DVD set of "A Bit of Fry and Laurie" from the local library, but then I had to buy it so I could watch it over and over and share it with my sister, who also loves British comedy. I don't think enough people know about this impeccable and outrageous comedy duo. This is great sketch comedy in the tradition of Monty Python, and even old school SNL. It runs the gamut from musical oddities to Fry and Laurie on the street dressed as women being interviewed for the local news. Much like my beloved Eddie Izzard, and other great duos like the Little Britain guys, Fry and Laurie's hilarity bears re-watching, and you can easily find yourself quoting the characters and cracking up when you're not even in front of the TV. This is comedy for people who enjoy the off-kilter and odd. Highlights include Hugh Laurie showing off his musical chops, playing the piano or guitar and singing a zany tune, as well as Stephen Fry as a hard-rocking priest, or a toothless hick. Give it a try!
