A Bad Case of Stripes Books  —

This story is so much fun! Each page has something unexpected and silly. It is about a little girl who is afraid to admit that she likes Lima beans. she is so busy trying to impress her new classmates that she comes down with a case of the stripes. All of the gurus and doctors and homeopathic know hows visit her to try and treat her condition and in the end she really just need to be herself. This is a great story to get a child thinking about how to be themselves and to be proud of it.

Thanks. These look like something our niece's kids would enjoy (ages 8 - 2).

I read it to my kids and each of them like it for different reasons. My 6 year old likes the moral and the reading, my 5 year old LOVES the pictures and the moral, my 3 year old enjoy that the book is about lima beans and he just cracks up at the silly pictures, and my 16 month old LOVES sitting in my lap and looking at the pictures. Oh and did I mention that I really enjoy it too? It is just an all around fun book, with a good lesson. I would say that any age reader (or pre reader in my case) would enjoy this book.

Nice review. I like that the book teaches that message. What age group would you reommend it for?
