A Bad Case of Stripes Books  —

This is a classic. Camilla is getting ready for her first day of school and she realizes that she has stripes on her face (she looks like a rainbow). Although she doesnt know it, Camilla's stripes are caused by her avoidance of lima beans... her favorite food.

What? The little girl is avoiding her favorite food?
Yes. Camilla doesnt want to eat lima beans because she is worried about what other kids think of her-- even though lima beans are her favorite. Because she avoids lima beans, all kinds of crazy things happen to her-- she gets stripes, she turns into a pill, she becomes "one with her room, etc-- until she eats them.

Lucky for Camilla, a cute little plump lady "as sweet and plump as a strawberry" rescues her by giving her lima beans.

A Bad Case of Stripes is a fun and charming story that my 3 year old loves and my 18 month old can follow along. The story line is cute (and teaches a good lesson) and the illustrations are outstanding. They do an exceptional job at keeping the story engaging and alive for young ones.

This is the perfect gift for any toddler. However, there is a lot of text, so plan to spend about 10-15 minutes reading the book.
