50 First Dates Review Summary
50 First Dates, starring Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler is being called
"a sweet love story." This romantic comedy features a young woman who has short term memory loss, requiring her new boyfriend to have to reintroduce himself to her every day. Fans of
50 First Dates report seeing "this movie many times, and
every time it gets better and better." Barrymore does a "great job," and Sandler is "entertaining in his attempts" to get Barrymore to go out with him each day. While Sandler's usual
"sex jokes and juvenile type humor" is prevalent in
50 First Dates, and it has a predicable plot,
"it does succed." The same results can be found in Barrymore and Sandler's other romantic comedy together,
The Wedding Singer.
